Chapter 19

*Alice's POV*

Today, Jessie is throwing a party to celebrate her & Ryan's engagement. We all have to drive down to the Bay, sadly.

Soon, we arrived at Jessie's place. I was helping with the food. I went over to the Jessie's kitchen & saw the many food set on the counter.

" Jessie?! Where are you?" I called out.

" I'm coming in!" I heard her yell from outside. I walked over to her backyard & saw her with a basket of strawberries.

" So what time is the party?" I asked.

" It's gonna be from 7 through very late at night. It was Ryan's idea to have it for that long," she chuckled. " He's always working hard, I think he needs time to release & just have fun."

" Same for Brendon. Always working on songs & performing for a very late time. But he does get to party! Okay, everyone else will arrive soon. Where is the party at? Here?" I asked.

" Mm, we have a reserved area. It's by a beach, so if you guys want, we could go night-swimming."

" But it's always cold at night," I pouted.

" But it's a warm day today! Come on."

" We could go swimming during the daaaaay, but not at fucking night time. The best time to go swimming during the day is from 11-2 PM. It's when the sun is shining super bright & when the sky is still REALLY blue."

" We still have time. We could go swimming right now."

" But can we go when EVERYONE is here? Like when my squad is here?"

" Who's your squad? I thought I was your squad!"

" I meant Brendon, Vegas, Breezy, Dallon, Spencer, Zack & Ryan Ross!"

" The other Ryan's coming?!"

" You don't mind right? It took me awhile to convince Brendon to let him come."

" But, he's a rapist!"

" Shut up, Jess," I chuckled. " Anyways, I gotta call them anyways. I have no idea where Brendon went with my kid."

I walked into the living room & dialed Brendon's number.

" Hello?"

" Hey babe, where are you?" I asked.

" We're heading to Jessie's place right now."

" Alright."

" So, I'd like to raise a toast for the future bride & groom," I said into the mic. " Ryan, you better not break her fucking heart." The crowd laughed with me. I raised my glass of wine & everyone did the same.

I drank my wine & walked off the stage. Jessie was with Ryan. I made my way over to Brendon & Vegas who was sitting at our reserved table.

" Hi my little babes," I smiled as I sat down on Brendon's lap.

" Well, this calls for a toast," Brendon chuckled.

" Shut up. So Jessie wants both of our bands to play right? You're not playing I Write Sins because she'll fucking kill you."

" Don't cuss in front of Bells!"

" Bite me," I chuckled. " Buuuuut, I'm planning on giving her a gift, something she'll never forget."

" A gift she'll never forget? Is it gonna be something she can hold?"

" No, actually, I want it to be a song! Let me start off with thinking of the title! HeartBreakJ. That's what I want it to be called. She's literally the baddest thing out there. I'm gonna get started on it when we get home."

" HeartBreakJ? Has she broken people's heart before?"

" She's a cocky lady," I smirked.

*Brendon's POV*

I wanted to help with the song. Jessie & I are not that close. We fight a lot about Alice, but it's because we both care about her.

" I'm gonna go say something to Jess," I said, patting Alice's thigh.

" You better not tell her about the song," she said getting off my lap.

" I won't."

I put my glass down & headed to Jessie. She was with Ryan, the one she's gonna marry. I sat down at the empty seat next to her.

" Hey guys," I said.

" Oh hey Urie. What's up?" Jessie asked.

" I just wanted to say congratulations! You're gonna be a Heckman. I wanted to apologize for being the stupidest guy on earth & always arguing with you about Alice. I'm really happy for you on your engagement."

" Aww, thanks B!"

" Yeah thanks man. I can't wait to marry this pretty thing," Ryan smiled at Jessie, giving her a kiss.

" Man, I remember how excited I was to marry Alice. I can't believe she stuck around me for so long after dealing with me. She's a trooper," I chuckled.

" Yeah, I can't believe it either. But, it's okay. You better fucking take GOOD care of her. Just because you have a kid, that don't mean shit. If I hear ONE complaint or even half of a complaint, you're a dead man. I love Alice more than ANYONE, including Ry-"

" Hey!" Ryan smacked her arm.

" I'm just kidding, babe," she giggled. " But I want you & her to be happy. Just don't fuck it up anymore. She does fill me in on things. You got a queen to hold above all, don't drop her for a peasant," she winked.

" You got it, Ayala," I said.

" Anyways, we're gonna sing a song," Alice said into the mic. She did invite the Dirty Diamonds & Jessie didn't mind. " This one is called Harlequin Girls. One of Jessie's favorites from us."

The crowd cheered.

The song soon ended & so did the party. We were all heading back to LA.

*Alice's POV*

The next morning came. I'm exhausted. Sadly, I had to go the studio the next day. I do need to work on Jessie's song. It needs to be finished before her wedding.

I said my goodbye to Brendon, Vegas & Penny & headed to the studio. I grabbed a notepad & began to write Jessie's song.

Verse 1: She's a goddess. She a heartbreaker. She ain't modest, but she'll kill it later.
