Salvatore Boarding School
Hope was lying in her bed, blissfully asleep the sun created a warm glow through the window. The Tribrid began to stir awake as she reached over to the other side of her bed, only to feel it empty. She slowly opened her eyes and looked to the opposite side of her bed seeing the empty space that was occupied by her boyfriend. Suddenly, the door opened and Hope sat up to see her boyfriend entering the room before closing the door behind him, a tray in hand. "What's the occasion?" Hope asked. Aaron looked over at her, frowning softly. "No! You're not supposed to be awake. I was gonna surprise you." Aaron told her.
Hope grinned at his words. "Do you want me to pretend to still be asleep?" She asked. Aaron sighed, shaking his head. "No. Doesn't matter anyway." Aaron said as he walked over, sitting down on the bed where he laid all night holding his girlfriend close. Hope looked down at the tray he was holding and saw a plate holding a stack of pancakes covered in maple syrup with whipped cream placed underneath the pancakes along with bacon on the side, a glass of apple juice and a small vase holding a red rose. "Wow." Hope breathed out. "And before you ask, I did somehow manage to make all of this by myself. And yes, it is all edible. How I know that you may ask? I payed Lizzie twenty dollars to wake up early and taste test." Aaron told her.
Hope snorted at his words before picking a piece of bacon up and taking a bite, humming at the taste. "I love you so much right now." Hope said. Aaron frowned. "Are you talking to me or the bacon?" Aaron asked. Hope looked over at him, swallowing the food in her mouth. "Do you want me to answer that honestly?" Hope asked. Aaron sighed, smiling at her. "I love you so much as well." Hope told him. "I love you too." Aaron told her, kissing her cheek. Hope cut a piece of the pancake stack out before placing it in her mouth. "Is that peanut butter?" Hope asked.
Aaron grinned proudly. "Peanut Butter Blast pancakes with whipped cream on the bottom." Aaron stated. Hope looked at him in adoration. "And also, it's technically our anniversary." Aaron told her. "Which one?" Hope asked. "Well, our best friend anniversary isn't for another couple months. I'm talking about our relationship anniversary." Aaron answered. Hope frowned at him. "The math is admittedly complicated, but if you subtract the time when you were in Malivore along with the time we weren't together..." Aaron trialed off. Hope chuckled. "Yeah, my head hurts." Hope said.
"Yeah, see? Complicated." Aaron said, picking up a piece of bacon that had some maple syrup on it. Hope hummed in agreement. "But we have officially been boyfriend and girlfriend for one year. Took us long enough." Aaron said happily, biting into his bacon. "The Breakfast in Bed anniversary I think it's called. Because this is probably gonna happen every year." Aaron said. "I could get used to this." Hope sighed out, taking another bite of the pancakes. "You're a pancake god." Hope told her boyfriend. Aaron hummed at the title. "Hmm. Part vampire, part grim reaper, part siphoner and part pancake god. I do believe it can't get any better than that." Aaron said.
Hope laughed at his words, setting the fork down. "I don't really have much of a plan for today. I only had one thing I know I wanted to do." Aaron told her. "What's that?" Hope asked. Aaron gave her a look and Hope understood what he was insinuating. "Oh." Hope said. Aaron nodded. "Exactly. I was planning for our first time to be today. But when it did happen, it was special and I would never change that for anything. So, we can do whatever we want today." Aaron said. Hope smiled at the thought as she sipped her juice. The two just laid in bed comfortably, talking and eating. Today was their day and nothing is ever going to change that.
