Aaron's Dream
It was dark. The forest was even darker. The dense forest blocking out any light that may shine through from the moon. An eery silence heard everywhere. Aaron was running. He didn't know why he was but he just knew he needed to. He panted heavily as he stopped, resting his side against a large tree as he looked around frantically.
He took a deep breath before starting to run again, somehow managing to not trip over any tree roots or fallen logs. Dried out leaves crunched loudly under his shoes as he ran and twigs snapped with a loud, harsh echo. Aaron suddenly stopped when he found himself stood on a familiar dock that stretched out onto the large lake. And stood at end of the dock was a hooded figure, their face covered by the shadow of the hood. Aaron felt something brush against his leg and saw a cat run past him and beside the hooded figure.
"Soon." The hooded figure spoke before the sudden sound of heavy footsteps was heard. Aaron spun around, seeing Malivore storming towards him, the wooden planks of the dock squeaking loudly. Aaron looked back around and saw the hooded figure and the cat had disappeared causing Aaron to turn back to Malivore. "Immobilus." Aaron chanted, throwing his hand out towards Malivore but his magic didn't work.
Malivore continued to storm towards Aaron, a low growling like sound emitting from the mud creature. Aaron began to back away quickly and before Malivore could grab him, Aaron fell backwards into the dark waters, slipping under the surface quickly and struggling to swim back to the surface as he couldn't tell which way was which. Everything was pitch black. Water began to fill his lungs as the air that was sat in his lungs rose to the surface.
Salvatore Boarding School
Aaron's eyes snapped open and he shot up from his laying position, panting and breathing heavily as the lights began to flicker rapidly and the balcony doors were swinging back and forth from a strong and heavy breeze, sheets of paper flying around the room quickly. Aaron quickly used his magic to stop everything that was happening, his breaths heavy as he tried to calm himself down. A few moments later, the balcony doors slammed shut and the breeze died down along with the flickering of the lights. His eyes quickly drooped close and he fell back flat onto the bed, falling asleep quickly. And as he slept, the black veins along his arms began to pulse quickly and grow up to his neck, his brows scrunching up in discomfort as he slept.
The Next Morning
Aaron was drying his hair with a towel after just washing it before wiping the steamed up mirror and frowning in confusion and concern at the black veins covering his body. He leaned his closer towards the mirror and turned his head sideways slightly, seeing more black veins travelling up the side of the neck and around the back. And in a quick flash, Aaron saw a grinning Necromancer stood behind him in the mirror. Aaron gasped, turning around and seeing him nowhere. And as his mind was filled with confusion, Aaron couldn't feel the veins around his neck growing a little more.
