Salvatore Boarding School

All Aaron was hoping for was a quiet day to himself. He didn't have many of those anymore. He couldn't remember the last time he just took a moment for himself, indulging in care-free thoughts and not having to worry about monsters or homework. But no. There was always that dark cloud over his head that stopped that from happening. And today, that dark cloud was Lizzie Saltzman. So here he was, being dragged from the comfort of his room by his sister figure to his girlfriend's room by force. "Lizzie. It's too early for this." Aaron groaned. "I don't care. You and Hope need help and here I am, willing to be that person who helps you both." Lizzie told him before bursting into Hope's room, still dragging Aaron with her.

"All right. Commence Operation: Rescue Hope and Aaron from themselves. I know that neither of you want to hear this right now-" Lizzie spoke but got cut off. "I'm in." Hope told her. Lizzie froze before turning to Hope in confusion. "Wait, what?" She asked confused and shocked. "I'm in. For whatever crazy thing you were about to say." Hope told her. "But I had a whole speech." Lizzie told her. "I'm sure it was amazing, but I'd rather not talk right now. Let's just do anything." Hope said. Lizzie nodded. "Great. Dad wants us to run the tour for prospective students." Lizzie told her. "Except that I can't handle being around a bunch of strangers right now." Hope told her.

"Okay, I knew I'd need my speech." Lizzie said getting excited. "Uh, since I've already heard the speech like five times, can I leave?" Aaron asked. "No. Sit down." Lizzie told him. Aaron huffed before sitting down on Hope's bed. "You know, when MG and Alyssa hooked up, I wanted to crawl into a hole for days." Lizzie spoke. "I want to crawl into a hole right now so I can get out of this situation." Aaron muttered under his breath. "Are you seriously comparing Landon dying to you not realizing that MG was a good guy until it was too late?" Hope asked exasperatedly. "Okay, well, it's-it's not a competition, Hope." Lizzie said, scoffing slightly. "Maybe Wade could do the tour." Hope suggested.

"Wade? Okay, well, you're grieving, so I will overlook that suggestion. All I'm asking for is one shift. As soon as MG and Kaleb get back with the first wave of returning students, they can take over the tour from you and Aaron. And then things can get back to normal. I think it would be a good distraction. For all three of us." Lizzie told Hope and Aaron. "Josie's first day?" The couple asked in sync. Lizzie smiled as she began messing with her hair. "Thank you for acknowledging that I am handling it with a surprising amount of dignity and poise. I'd just rather not do it by myself." Lizzie said. Hope and Aaron looked at each other, having a silent conversation with their eyes before nodding. "Fine. But we're not talking to anyone." Aaron told Lizzie.

Lizzie scoffed at them. "Please. There will be so many of them, you'll hardly be able to hear yourself think." Lizzie said before leaving the room.
