°Fifth Date°
The rhythmic drumming of rain against the glass was the first thing Jungkook registered as his eyes fluttered open.
It was four in the morning, the sky pitch black, and the downpour outside was relentless.
He felt a weight nestled against his side, a warmth radiating from the body curled up in his arms.
His heart stuttered, a smile tugging at his lips as he recognized the familiar scent of sunshine and jasmine.
It was Hoseokie, his love!!
And probably ... his would-be wife!! sleeping peacefully in his embrace.A wave of warmth washed over him as he remembered the eventfull night before.
The fight in the college, the blood, the pain.
The way she'd appeared, a beacon of calm amidst the chaos, her eyes filled with concern.
The way she'd insisted on taking him home, her hands gentle as she cleaned his wounds, her touch sending shivers down his spine.
Then, the movie night on the couch, his head resting on her lap, the faint scent of her shampoo intoxicating him.
And finally, the warmth of her body against his, the quiet whispers of their shared space, the shared laughter, the unexpected, yet comforting, closeness.
He smiled, a warmth spreading through his chest as he gently kissed her forehead.
Her soft, sleep-laden whimper was music to his ears.
She snuggled deeper into his side, her head finding a comfortable nestle in the crook of his neck.
His heart, already racing, threatened to burst out of his chest.
He couldn't help but run his fingers through her silky hair, the feeling of her soft skin against his sending tingles down his arms.He shifted slightly, trying to gently wake her. "Hoseokie, honey!! it's cold out here. We should go to bed!!!"
She mumbled something incoherent, her face still buried in his chest.
He tried again, his voice softer this time. "Hoseokie, come on, we should go to the bedroom!!""Mmph... five more minutes!!" she mumbled, her voice heavy with sleep.
Jungkook sighed, but he couldn't bring himself to be annoyed.
He was enjoying the warmth of her against his side....the way her breath tickled his neck....the feeling of her soft, fuzzy sweater against his skin."But it's cold, princess!!" He persisted. "You'll catch a cold!!"
"If I catch a cold, you'll have to take care of me... my prince!!" she mumbled. "And that'll give me a chance to annoy you more!!"
He let out a low chuckle, unable to help the smile that spread across his face.
Her sassiness, even in her sleep, was irresistible.
She was both infuriating and endearing, a whirlwind of contradictions that drew him in."Fine!!" He said.
"But you have to get up. I can't carry you to the bedroom all night!!"
