Relationships are quite shit, aren't they?Jennie's had her few sways about it, fucked about and found out. And it's a hardship, no matter what type it is. If it's all business with a mission to forget, or this back itch that you can't quite seem to reach.
Nevertheless, she'd figured out by now that if it's worth it, there're things that she needs to do, all of course, is severely out of her control. Yet still, things to do regardless.
The thing is, Jennie has a knack about it. And when she makes the first move on reconciliation, best believe she'll move mountains for it.
Never experienced that her whole life though. Which, in hindsight, is quite a commentary on a lot of things, she's sure.
Their house - her and the rest of her band members - was up in flames, the next day. Figuratively of course. There's been a lot of pacing being done in the living room and they're all gathered together, the full set. Jisoo's been pacing the floor for so long, Jennie got tired of watching her.
Rosé and Lisa flocks her, sitting beside her, scrolling through their phone, trying to find the earliest flight possible.
All things considered, it's a bit extreme. Jennie thinks about this a lot for the past few hours, lying in wake. How many times can someone say that they'll cross the Atlantic just to clarify a rumor with someone who isn't even your, well, someone. Yet.
Probably.
Hopefully?
Y/n's called her a few times. All of them actually. Jennie didn't want to hear about it just yet. Needs time to properly process that, and her reaction to it, and frankly, she's rationalizing this in her head.
What does it say about her, if she's flying back to New York for Y/n? What does that say about the other? Jisoo's lectured her about it before, the over extending. But it's my nature! She'd argue back, because it's true. In this sort of over compensation, the need to be loved, her crippling abandonment issues, and just a dash of insomnia culminated into, well, that. Her nature. It's inevitable really.
A double edged sword. That's what she thinks about when she stays a bit longer on her vanity mirror, picking on her face for blemishes that isn't there.
The true price of beauty really, is being so idolized that it's quite hard to ascertain if they really did love her, or if she's this glowing trophy that they're desperate to have.
Happened with Kai.
Could happen again.
Taehyung's well on his way to exchange war stories with his friends so that's not even a question that needed answering for her.
Jennie counts.
"Unnie..." Rosé places a warm hand over hers, eyes soft "- give her a chance, yeah? We don't know for sure what happened."
"And it's honestly a bit out of character for her." Lisa adds.
Jisoo sniffs, annoyed "- You know her so well, then?"
"I don't." Lisa says, rolling her eyes. "- but i know what people look like, when they're in love."
"-you've never been in love Lis." Jisoo points out, giving her a look. "Not that telling I'm afraid."
"Yeah, but I've seen you guys," Lisa counters, this time looking at Jennie instead, squeezing her hand. "And she's absolutely fucked over, with you."
"Why isn't she here then?" Jisoo says, annoyed.
"Chu..." Rosé warns
"- Why are we booking," Jisoo ignores her "- yet again, another flight for you Jennie?"
