CHAPTER | 004
THOSE WHO WILL BE PERFORMING PLEASE HEAD TO THE STAGE. THOSE WHO ARE NOT ARE ALLOWED TO COME AND WATCH OR CONTINUE TO PRACTICE. you looked at your group who were sitting as they drank water. "if you guys want to go see their performances, you can go. we been practicing since this morning. we can continue tomorrow" you said. "are you sure?" dara asked and you nodded with a smile. "you all been working hard since we became a team so take this break. maybe you can learn from the other teams" you suggested. "you're not going?" yuki asked. "no. i actually want to do something and then go to bed" you said. "okay. see you tomorrow!" the three of them waved and headed towards the stage.
you stayed at the practice room and looked at yourself in the mirror. "you got this, (y/n)" you said to yourself. you walked over to the tablet that was connected to the speaker. you search up the song you been practicing by yourself after the first evaluation. even with the new evaluation, you always made room to practice this song. you were used to practicing for hours since you were the vice president of the kpop club back in high school and you had to learned the choreography first to teach the rest of the members for events. now as a university student and vice president again of the kpop club, your job during the summer was to learn a few songs so your club could perform for the freshmen that were coming in. you took the mic that was on the cart with the tablet. you rush to the center of the room and looked at yourself in the mirror.

even though it wasn't really necessary for you to sing along to the song as your club will just be dancing to it. you thought about that it and if the next evaluation is a solo performance, you can do this song. that's if you can. you just hope you get eliminated during round three so then you can have time to teach the dance to the rest of your club members. after you finish, you wiped the sweat from your forehead. "that was a good wrap up. if i get this perfect the first try, then i can head to the showers and go straight to bed" you said. you walked over to the tablet and played the song again. you were in there for more an hour.
the next day, your roommates surrounded you. "why didn't you come last night? your team was there" mikasa asked. "oh yeah. i stayed back to practice a song that i have to learn for something" you replied. "a lot of us thought your group would have definitely performed last night. we were shock to find out" mi-cha said. "yeah. i didn't want my group to feel any pressure for having to perform last night" you explained. "i hope your group does well" mei said. "thank you. we been working hard for this song. i hope everyone else likes it" you said with a smile. "to catch you up, only two group actually got the reward. us and nabi's. the rest were so close to pass. one team was really struggling. we have a feeling one of the members from that group will get eliminated" min-sun said. "no one moved up their rank yet so you're still the only A. i hope your team moves up. they're ranked C, right? if they fail, one of them will definitely get eliminated" mikasa said. "don't worry. they won't. i have fate in them" you smiled.

your team and another team were the only ones who have to perform tonight. as you got your voice to warm up, nabi walked up to you. "i hope you don't give up your dream after you perform. i'm sure there's a company out there that wants you" she smiles. obviously nabi thinks your team will fail especially you since you were the only one who was ranked higher. "thank you" you faked a smiled. WILL ALL TRAINEES WALK OUT TO THE STAGE AND SIT IN THEIR CORRECT SEAT. you walked out and saw your name on the first row. you walked over and took a seat to see nabi sitting next to you on your right side and another girl to your left.
WELCOME BACK TRAINEES TO OUR SECOND EVALUATION! TONIGHT YOU WILL BE PERFORMING FOR THREE JUDGES WHO IN THE PAST DAYS GAVE YOU ADVICE. EACH GROUP HAS PREPARED A SONG FOR YOU BASED ON THE THEME THEY WERE GIVEN. JUDGES, YOU WILL DETERMINE IF THEY PASS. THOSE WHO FAIL WILL BE MOVED DOWN A RANK. YOU WILL ALSO DETERMINE WHO WILL BE DISMISSED. you sat down in your spot and saw that jungkook staring at you. his eyes then moved away when he saw nabi.
TEAM ASPIRATION PLEASE STEP FORWARD. your team stood up and walked towards the stage. you looked at the judges and trainees. "welcome back to the stage. we were all hoping to see your team perform earlier this week" aiki said. "our main focus was to pass this evaluation not the reward" you explained. "i see. well best of luck" wendy said with a smile. "thank you" the four of you bow at them. the lights dim down and all remaining lights are shining on you guys. you got into your position and waited for the music to play.

while performing, you notice that some of the trainees were tearing up. you knew this song would affect them as they all share the same dream. your eyes then wander back to the 3 judges who were nodding along. yet jungkook had his eyes on you. just you. you felt his stare the whole time while you performed. once you finished, the four of you bowed. "what made you choose this song?" jungkook asked as he crossed his arms. "w-we had other songs in mind but (y/n) suggested this one and we all agreed because we all sure the same dream to become idols and we knew our song chose would relate to our fellow trainees" dara said. "i think it was a great song chose. i'm very impressed that constant 13, 10 and 7 all got better within a week. your vocals were more stable than before" wendy said.
"i agree. your dancing skills have improved a lot since your first evaluation" aiki said. "thank you" the three of them bowed. "constant 24" you look up and made eye contact with jungkook. "you keep on impressing me every time. your skills are still improving and that's great. you will be an amazing idol" jungkook said. "thank you" you bowed. IT'S TIME TO DETERMINE IF TEAM ASPIRATION PASS. JUDGES... "we agreed that the four of you have improved. we're glad to say that you passed" wendy said. your teammates all started to break down into tears. they knew if they failed they would have been eliminated. "congratulations" wendy smiles as she claps. the four of you bowed at the judges. "thank you!" the four of you said. your teammates run up to you and hugged you tight. "thank you!" they said. "you don't need to thank me. you guys worked hard" you said. "if it wasn't for you, we would have gotten eliminated" dara said. you tried to get them to stop crying yet you made eye contact with jungkook. he gave you a smile.
