My innocent Rosie

Ch.2

Irene's POV

I never imagined myself being a guardian at a very young age, don't get me wrong. I'm not those horny teenagers who waste their life over sex. What I mean on being a guardian is taking care of a person who's incapable of living alone- I'm referring to Rosé.

Well we're not really related to each other, we didn't come from one family. I grew up with her at the orphanage. Yes, we're an orphan.

I was 9 when I met 3 years old Rosé, though we're both kids I felt the urge to take care of her since the social workers told me she was special. It was confusing for me to understand at a very young age but as time pass by I discovered what they're trying to tell. Rosé had an immature personality disorder that causes her to act like a child, her mind is under develop that makes it hard for her to think like a normal person can do.

Luckily I was there to guide her despite of our situation, I teach her patiently with the basic things but she tends to memorize the stuffs she only like.

Rosé became my life source- my energy to this tiring world. I took care of her like she's my real sister and we both found the love we didn't find. I decided to move out along with Rosé when we finally reach our legal age; I never left her even though a lot of couples offered me to be their parents.

Now I'm living with my girlfriend Seulgi who owns a little restaurant two blocks from where we live, I'm helping her to run our business. The house isn't as fancy as we dream about but it's enough for us to live in, my girlfriend accepted Rosé wholeheartedly because she said that even if she's imperfect she'll probably make a person fall in love with her in a unique way. I love her for being considerate.

"Baby! I miss you" Seulgi wrap her hands around my waist as she back hug me.

"Miss you too baby. Where's Rosé?"

"She bought ice cream, don't worry she'll be here soon"

I remove her hands "Ya! Why did you left her? What if something happened to her?!?"

"Chill baby, you look scary when you stare at me like that. Rosé was the one who said I can go first. She insist"

I put down the knife on the counter top because I'm currently slicing the potatoes that I'll cook for lunch.

"Even though. You must've wait for her"

The wind-chime clink as the door open revealing a very happy Rosé holding a slowly melting ice cream in a cone.

"Unnieeeee!!!!! Ice cream?" she cutely offered extending her hand.

"No thanks Rosé. You should eat it instead" I answer with a smile.

"Mmmkay!"

I fix her mid length hair that falls on her shoulder, she starts licking her ice cream and it was so cute that I even brought out my phone to take a Rosie! Wanna watch together?" Seulgi ask.

"Watch?"

"Yes, let's watch"

"No! It will be a horror movie"

Me and Seulgi chuckled when Rosé suddenly glare, she hates horror because one time Seulgi let her watch that made her scream and became a crybaby. Later that night she slept beside us even if she have her own bed.

"It's not horror movie, what do you wanna watch....oggy and the cockroaches or courage the cowardly dog?"

"Both!!! I wanna watch both unnie"

I caress her cheek "Okay go and watch it with Seulgi, I'll cook our lunch and call you both if the food is ready. Okay?"

"Yes unnie"

She salute at me before running to the living room where our television is.

"Such a cute kid. Anyway, how's her lessons? Is she improving?"

"A little bit Seul. She throw tantrums when she couldn't understand it but she's eager to learn. The only problem is when she observe people outside doing a lot of things and she easily adapt it"

Her hand grab mine and slightly squeezed it "Let her learn Irene, she's 25. You already taught her enough and she needs to learn on her own"

"What if people take advantage of her condition? We can't foresee that"

"Don't think like all people are bad. She's becoming a bit independent, don't you think it's a good start?"

"I hope so Seul. Go now and look over her"

"Yes baby" she peck my lips that made me smile.

I watch them from where I'm standing, Rosé is now laughing while Seulgi is amazed on her reaction. I found the people who truly loves me and it was the best feeling.
