Ashlie knew Stefan's birthday was coming up and she had a lot to do. Lexi was coming and Ashlie was determined to save her life. She already made her and her boyfriend each a daylight ring.
Ashlie made Stefan some cupcakes and went over to the boarding house before school. She walked in the door without knocking and went up to Stefan's room, knowing that was where he was.
"You and Damon are the only ones with these nifty little daylight rings. I have a mood ring from '75! Trade ya?" Ashlie heard Lexi say to Stefan.
"Doesn't work like that and you know it." Stefan says.
"I might be able to help with that." Ashlie says as she walks into the door surprising both vampires. She walks up to Stefan and hands him the cupcakes. "Happy birthday, bunny muncher." Ashlie says with a smile. "Homemade just for you."
"Thanks, Ash." Stefan says with a smile. "Ash, this is my best friend Lexi. Lexi, this is Ashlie."
"Nice to meet ya." Lexi says.
"You too, sexy Lexi." Ashlie says and she reaches into her pocket and takes out a ring box. "Here" Ashlie says as she tosses the box to Lexi. Lexi looks confused. "Open it." She opens the box and gasps seeing two daylight rings.
"I hope those work for you and your boyfriend." Ashlie says with a smile.
"Yes. Thank you." Lexi says before bringing Ashlie into a hug. "Wait, how did you know about Lee?"
"I know things." Ashlie says with a shrug.
Lexi looks at Stefan confused. "She knows things." Stefan says. "I got to go. Be back later."
"I'll stay with Lexi. Bye Stef." Ashlie says and Stefan speeds out. "So try it on." Ashlie says
Lexi puts the ring on and goes to the bedroom window, she moves the curtain over and carefully puts her hand with the ring on into the sun. She doesn't burn and smiles brightly. She rushes over to hug Ashlie again. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Lexi says.
"You're welcome. Come on let's go out, so you can enjoy the sun after being a vampire for however long."
"Over 300 years."
