Seven stood before the medbay bed where the merc's petrified body lay. The once-human form now solidly encased in metal, a consequence of the phasing process being abruptly halted. The Android had carefully excised the mercenary from the wall, placing him on the medbay bed for Seven to examine.
Fascinated, Seven contemplated the transformation that had occurred—a living, complex human body frozen into metal in a matter of seconds. The potential of this phasing technology intrigued him deeply. If he and the Android could decipher its workings and replicate it, it could become a valuable asset to the ship.
Comparing the two sets of scans taken before they captured the mercenary and after the petrification process, Seven meticulously analyzed the data. The contrast between the biological scans and the metallic composition now evident in the merc's body shows the transformative power and complexity of the phasing technology.
Seven's gaze fixed on the marc's arm where the implant was hidden. With careful precision, he began to slowly and meticulously chip away at the metallic material that now made up the mercenary's body. Each strike of his tools revealed more of the intricate network of neural connections and technology embedded within the flesh-turned-metal.
As he worked, Seven's mind raced with fascination with what he was uncovering. The implant was a fusion of advanced technology and biological integration, a marvel of engineering that allowed a human body to pass through solid objects.
Seven held the extracted implant in his hand, its presence both intriguing and unsettling. It was a piece of technology that blurred the lines between human biology and artificial enhancement, reminiscent of his own past involvement with illegal modifications. As he studied the intricate design a mix of fascination and unease settled in his mind.
The thought that such advanced technology existed, capable of fundamentally altering human capabilities, stirred conflicting emotions within Seven. On one hand, there was a thrill in understanding its potential and the scientific breakthroughs it represented. Yet, on the other hand, there was a deep-seated unease—an awareness of the ethical and moral questions surrounding its creation and use.
Two's voice resonated through the ship's intercom, cutting through the quiet hum of the medbay.
"Seven, we're convening in the mess hall."
Seven hesitated briefly, glancing at the intricate implant resting on the sterile table. With a decisive nod, he left the medbay, "On my way"

Five, seated beside Two in the bustling mess hall of their ship, leaned in with curiosity etched on her face. "So what's all this about?" she inquired, her gaze flickering between Two and the others gathered around the table.
"Tabor's girlfriend has been kidnapped," Two answered.
Five's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Tabor has a girlfriend?" she exclaimed.
Three added with a smirk, "That's what I said."
Adrian, quieter than usual but with an unmistakable edge to his voice, interjected solemnly, "He didn't deserve her. He took her for granted, and now look what's happened."
"You knew she was there, didn't you? She's the one you're worried about," observed Two.
Three smirked, "Here's your chance,"
"What do you mean?" Adrian asked, feigning confusion
"You ride in there on your white horse, you save the day. Tabor's out of the picture. You get the girl." Three elaborated with a grin.
