She was distracting herself from what happened at the Sorrel House and it was working. But not as much as she wished.

Y/N was about to fall asleep when she received a call from one of her best friends. The girl stood up from the bed and left the room without glancing at her already asleep roomie. Y/N closed the door and answered the call.

"Y/N!!!!!!!"

Y/N moved the phone away from her ear and frowned.

"Daiki, I swear someday you will leave me deaf," Y/N scolded.

"Yeah, yeah. How are you?"

"Fine... No thanks to you, though."

Daiki laughed and Y/N rolled her eyes.

Daiki was Y/N's figure ice skating partner at some competitions. They sometimes train together and sometimes they don't. Still, they trust each other with their lives.

Daiki was like the older brother Y/N wished she had.

"You know, I can feel you rolling your eyes."

"I hope you know it's late," Y/N said. She sat on the living room floor and reached for her backpack.

"I only wanted to know how your trip is going."

Y/N took out her laptop and all her journalist items and started researching things related to Savannah's story and paranormal stuff there.

"Uh-huh. Or maybe you just wonder how a certain friend of mine is doing during the trip."

"You know me so well..." Daiki snickered. "So? How is he?"

"He is fine. But, since you're asking about the field trip... I want to show you the pictures Logan took."

"I have to go get my computer, right?" Daiki complained.

"Do you think you'll need it?"

"I hate it when you answer using another question. Wait there, I'll go for it."

Y/N laughed and opened Daiki's chat on her laptop. She connected her recorder to the computer and began downloading what she recorded that day. When she finished, she then connected a USB Logan gave her that evening and downloaded the pictures he had taken while they were exploring.
