Y/N groaned as she let the words sink in. She was lying on her bed, her feet on her pillows and her head where the feet should go. Magnus was on top of Y/N, sleeping peacefully.

Y/N was about to use the "I feel sick, so I can't go to school" card, but she remembered her mother is a doctor. So that wouldn't work.

"I'm going to fake my death..." she mumbled.

Her father entered her room and he laughed at her. "No faking deaths at home. At least not when your mother's here," he said as he sat on the edge of her bed. "Your little fall from last night is already paying off."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that..." Y/N said, her voice muffled by the bed.

"On the bright side, you're not that late. Your mother just wanted you to have a proper breakfast for the first time in your teenage life."

"Coffee is a lifestyle, dad."

"You'll suffer a heart attack one day. I'm sure of it."

Y/N put her foot near his face. "Sh... Don't curse it..."

"Get your foot off of me," he said as he grabbed his daughter's foot and put it down.

Y/N laughed. "Do I really have to go?"

"Yes... And if you wake up now, you could be able to roller skate to school."

Y/N sat up quickly, making Magnus wake up scared.

"Oh, so that's the only way someone could wake you?"

"Nope. I just remembered Taylor owes me a chocolate. So I have to go for it."

Her father stares at her with amusement and disbelief. Magnus barked at the mention of food.

"Sorry, Magnus," she began to pet him. "Chocolate is dangerous for beautiful creatures like you..."

Her father left her room after he kissed her head. Magnus followed him.

Y/N, with all her willpower, stood up from the bed, turned on her speaker and her favourite songs were the soundtrack of her morning routine. After she finished, she went downstairs and found her parents drinking coffee and staring at Magnus as he ate.

Y/N laughed softly and she grabbed her breakfast. She started eating it as she read something on her phone.
