"DAY 2. 11: 11 p.m."
¿What is the most common thing to do while camping at night? Eating a few tasty shmoores, I would so innocently say. The truth? The truth is that the activity that most people tend to do when on camping AT NIGHT, is telling horror stories. Not sex, I know some of you have already thought of that.
So here we were, fire crackling, crickets stridulating and Tyler engaged in, to be honest, a good horror story, which was definetly giving me the creeps.
"So, imagine this: my mom, alone in her deceased grandma house, cleaning and doing the usual to mantain the property. This house was in the middle of nowhere and it was an hour trip far from home, so as it usually took the whole day to clean up, she stayed the night". He made a pause, his expression as serious as I have ever seen it, "she went to sleep and had this weird dream of a woman sitting on the couch, where her grandma used to spend the days reading and, all of a sudden, she heard this deafening scream that woke her up".
I was so focused on the story that I didn't even notice when I had started leaning against Nathaniel, who sensing my distress, placed his hand on my bare thigh, as I was wearing shorts –bad idea, by the way, because the temperature had dropped a few degrees-. His warm touch contrasting with my cold leg, sent shivers running down my spine. It wasn't until he started caressing my skin with his thumb, that my body relaxed on its own.
"When she opened her eyes, she didn't know if the scream was part of her dream or it had been real. So, after taking a few minutes to calm her nerves, she got up from bed and walked towards the living room, and when she reached the door, at first, she didn't noticed anything, but when she payed close attention, she noticed a shadow standing next to her grandma's couch, at a dark corner of the room" Willow, Violet and Alexis, who had changed positions and were now sitting together, were entangled in a funny mix of limbs, their faces pale.
"She stood completely still and her eyes watered because of the fear. When she blinked the shadow was gone, and for a moment she blamed her imagination for what had happened. But, before she could turn around, she felt a cold presence behind her, and before she could do anything, the presence whispered with a raspy woman's voice "run away" and she went directly to her car, not even stopping to close the door nor to grab her things, just the car keys".
"The next morning, when my mum visited my grandma and told her what had happened, she was sent a text with a link that showed the town's newspaper, and one of the news said that my mum's grandma's house was set on fire and that there were clues that it had been an arson attack".
"So whatever it was that had woken your mum up and told her to flee, saved her life" commented Noah, full on hugging Kai, who looked pretty much terrified.
Tyler nodded his head a few times, his lips forming a line.
"That was the perfect story before bed, man" joked Jude, who was the one sitting the closest to the fire and the first one to stand up.
"You going already?" Asked Violet, who had managed to detangle from Willow and Alexis, "Yeah, 'm pretty worn out" most of us agreed with him, so we all started saying our good nights and slowly disappeared into our respectives tents.
"Where's Tyler?" I asked once Nathan zipped the tent closed, "He said he'd be sleeping with the boys" he answered while laying on his sleeping bag.
How convinient of Tyler.
"Great, more room for us" I joked, trying to keep my nerves at bay.
Once I layed down next to him, he turned off the flashlight -that Jude had thrown inside every tent- while I settled as comfortably as posible.
We ended up in the same position, face to face. That night was full moon, so we could still see each other when our vision adjusted.
"Do you snore too?" I joked again, making him chuckle "No, don't worry" I smiled, not trusting my voice to say anything else.
A comfortable silence fell inside the tent, while we could still hear the wild life outside, and just as I closed my eyes, I felt his hand make contact with my cheek, which made me open eyes, that instantly connected with his.
"I really wanna kiss you, Abigail" he whispered with a hint of wantoness, "then do it" I replied, my voice breaking at the end, eager of what was to come.
I slightly moaned when his lips made contact with mine. It was a soft kiss, one that expressed the delicacy of the gesture, like the flutter of butterfly wings. He raised his head from the makeshift pillow and when he had better angle, he deepened the kiss, not trying to win a battle but seeking union and closeness; one of my hands entangled in his locks, while I used the other to tug from the collar of his shirt, to try and bring him closer if possible; one of his hands caressed my cheek while the other supported his weight.
Just when I opened my legs and tugged on his shirt so he could lay between them, the kiss turned more passionate the moment his lips mashed against mine, as if it was his source of life. I hungrily pushed back and pulled his hair, earning a wanton moan that travelled through my whole body, giving me goosebumps.
"Touch me" he rasped out at the same time that one of his hands grabbed one of my breats, making my back arch against him; his clothed manhood rubbing against my core.
Slowly, my hand travelled from his neck to his abdomen; the muscles contracting with just a single touch of mine. Just when I reached the waistband of his pants, I decided that I wanted to tease him a little and started playing with it, not really going further with my hand.
"You don't wanna play that card with me, Abbie" he groaned; his tone dropping an octave.
Just as I was going to stop teasing, he made a motion with his hips that created the most delicious graze between our bodies, making me moan against his lips; what he answered with a smirk while he used his teeth to tug of my bottom lip.
Soon, the tent had become our place, where we shared our most intimate secrets; where we shared our soul and body; were we showed each other the real version of ourselves; where we silently expressed our unspoken feelings for each other.
Feelings that had been silently latent for years now.
