Mason's pov

Yesterday, i had a secret surprise for her that was me sending her parents a small thirty seconds clip of her singing  in order for them to stop comparing her.  To all of her cousins and then it took me by surprise that they asked if there could go to see her since i was away from because i went to my home away hockey games last night so i message her friends to keep it as a surprise that her parents were coming to attend her music performance hoping that she wasn't too drunk but i remember that the new dive bar she went to served mocktail to avoid her being drunk in front of her parents. I planned everything down to the details, including asking all of her friends to help me pull it off at the last minute before I go back to sleep again. Having no idea if my plan would work or not, Asher knocked on my door along with Wyatt, Grayson and Holden watching the video of my girl, Rochelle Nabi-steven singing whilst the other guys were still sleeping in their bed too.

And later this morning, I got a text from her: Hey Mase, it was you, wasn't it?

As I instantly knew what she was talking about. How I surprise her with her parents' surprise visit, sending them the directions, a video of her singing in front of a live audience and giving her a necklace as a gift that says, fearless birdie. I actually wanted to be there and wouldn't miss it for the world except that i didn't even know she was going to sing the same day i was traveling to my away game for one night.

So I quickly sent her back a text before I left my hotel room. My response to her: yes, if you're talking about my genius mastermind plan to surprise you if i can't be there then i would get the next best thing which is your mum, dad and your cousin Vivenna to be there.

I stepped out of my hotel room after I was freshly showered and dressed carrying my suitcase with me. Heading straight for the lobby where I met my friends: Asher, Holden, Grayson, Fletcher, Wyatt and Dean who was becoming part of my hockey family. We didn't give a flying toss if people were betting against the odds of us winning or losing because we only hoped to make it to the big league and gave it our all in every single one of our games. I forgot to mention that Rochelle had put me on a swearing ban for only one reason. she thought I had a sailor mouth for cursing or swearing too much so I would forking do anything for her, just the prices and I would do it. The money that I had won from all my thrifty car races made me almost a billionaire yet I didn't tell anyone how wealthy I was from all of my hard work that could make people treat me differently. Just like at my mate Asher and Wyatt everyone basically kissed the ground that they walked on. This wasn't me trying to be a little bit shady to them because I loved all of my hockey brothers equally no matter what.

My songbirdie: oh my god! Did you just book a whole music studio for me to record a demo? Those things literally cost like a thousand and are extremely expensive!

My addiction to chasing the thrills or adrenaline in life were hockey and racing cars until I met her which fills the gaps of my frozen heart. I win every goals that i had won would always be dedicated to her which reminds me i had nearly finished all of her books that she had requested me to read even though, some of the male characters think that had raw charisma but i know that i had the looks, real charisma, charms, humors and i know what every girls want in a relationship. However, more importantly, the only woman who matters to me was Rochelle as I still remember that fateful day when the rain was pouring and her car engine was dead so i planned everything even if you can't make some fall in love except the fact that i wasn't a quitter. Heck no, I tried every single day hoping to catch the same girl in the parking lot for weeks, then eventually Asher told me where she was since she was friends with his girlfriend Jessasmyn you know, it was a small world and an even bigger university too.

"Wait, man, are you telling me that you bought space in a music studio for your girl and then got someone to make a CD demo for her?" asked Grayson with shocked expressions on his face.
