Two months had passed, It was officially July,
(Meaning 4th of July, but also Carter's birthday) (July 17), but we'll just focus on independence day, that's something to worry about later! but there's something one of them is hiding,

I have to help dad get ready for the 4th of July,
Fourth of July? what is this "4th of July"?
it's a holiday we have every year that celebrates our independence from Britain! (A/N: not trying to make this fic educational )
we celebrate with barbecue, possibly swimming.. games, family reunions!
Oh!! But my favorite part is the fireworks!
F-Fireworks?! yeah, it's part of the holiday,
why..? Are you okay? I'm fine, Carter, trust me. Okay then, (once Carter had left the room, Rosie had hid under the covers)
(No! I do not want these fireworks! I'm scared of them! But I don't know what Carter would think about this, I think she'll hate me for it!

Alright, Rose! got us some independence Day outfits! (the one thing she wasn't scared of for Independence Day was outfits) Yay!
she wore the star headband with a stripy dress, It looks nice! yeah, but fireworks look nicer (She had gotten the scared look). (Pull it together! Pull it together!) Rose, are you okay? I'm fine! (The other girl had wore a starry dress with a star headband)
I'm so excited for them! (It was finally time for fireworks) Alright, you ready for fireworks, girls?!
Yes! No! what?! No! no, no, no! (the scared girl had run into the house,) Rose! Rose, wait! (She hides under the covers again) (tears start
dripping down her eyes as she's frightened)
Rose? are you okay? Does it look like I'm okay, Carter?! No, I'm not! I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just that I'm.. scared of fireworks,
Why? Why didn't you tell me?! Because you wouldn't care! What in the hell makes you think I wouldn't care?! Of course I care!
I'll tell you why I am scared of them. Well, it all started when I was little, but now we have confetti..

But anyway, when I was little, before my dad passed, we had fireworks, and I was scared because It made me think of a war, and my father was in it, and he had died..
But I have something to help you with that problem (she grabs a pair of headphones from the basket). Will these do?

But these are noise cancelation headphones!
they mute the loud noises, including the fireworks, They're perfect! Now come on!
