Time skip~ (Gabriella's POV):

"Don't worry, Angel." A gentle female voice reassured someone, saying, "She will wake up shortly." I rubbed my temples, trying to process the events that had led to this moment. I was still disoriented from the pain medication, but my memories were slowly coming back to me. I was sitting in a small, dimly lit room, with a gentle voice speaking softly beside me.

With a heavy groan, I sat up only to wince in pain when I suddenly remembered what had happened to me; Carefully, I lifted my right wing and saw a bandage wrapped around where the gunshot was. I turned my head to see a familiar face - it was Angel...and a blonde girl that I'm not familiar with. My eyes met his, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me.

"Angel?" I croaked, my voice barely above a whisper.

He smiled and reached out to gently brush a strand of hair out of my face. "Hey, Gabes. You're awake. You're going to be okay."

I winced again as I tried to move my right wing, but Angel stopped me and the other blondie quickly intervened, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Not too much movement just yet," she cautioned. "You're still recovering from your injuries."

I nodded, feeling a mix of emotions: relief, gratitude, and a hint of embarrassment at being so helpless. But as I looked at her and then at Angel, "What...what happened?" I asked, trying to piece together the events leading up to my current situation.

Angel's expression turned serious. "Ya got shot and beatin' up by those shark demons," He continues: "Which they shot ya on your right-wing and um..." "Angel..." I slowly let the bangs cover my yellow eyes and look up at him, "Was I r*ped?" The mention of that word made him go into protective best-friend mode.

"HA! I killed them before they can even touch ya, Gabes!" He laughed heartedly, as a wave of relief washed over me when I felt the blonde girl beside him place a comforting hand on my arm, "Angel is right," She continued saying: "You're safe now, and you are so lucky that he got you out of there in time!"

Blinking at her, and then at Angel before I noticed that I was sitting on a  mustered the strength to ask, "Uhm...where am I?" turning to the blonde girl. "And, not to be rude but who the Hell are you?" Angel bit his lower lip by trying to stifle his laugh with a 'pfft' at how I spoke to her and to tell you the truth, she felt offended but smiled gently, her eyes filled with warmth as if she wasn't bothered...

'That's concerning, yet she shows it like an open-minded person.'

I pondered momentarily, only to be greeted by the enthusiastic introduction of the blonde girl, "I'm Charlie Morningstar!" She continued, "This is a place dedicated to assisting sinners in finding their way to Heaven through group activities, collaborative projects, and social interactions with fellow residents." Charlie flashed a smile.

"Let me clarify this shit," I interjected, "You're suggesting that this place can facilitate sinners' journey to Heaven? Has it been accomplished before?" With a nervous gesture, she scratched her neck and replied, "Not yet, HOWEVER... That's the dream goal!" Intrigued, I tilted my head in thought and asked, "Are you asking me to join?"

Charlie eagerly nods, leading me to reply: "I see no reason not to." Her ensuing squeal of excitement startled me, as I winced due to my sensitive hearing, prompting a quick apology from her: "Sorry! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel! You're the second resident to ever join in and we're so glad to have you here!"

"Thanks. I'm Gabriella." I try to match her smile, and if I'm being honest, I wouldn't give this place a shot; After all, maybe it would give me a chance to see my dad again. Charlie begins giving me a tour of all the rooms and places of the Hotel while Angel tags along with Joy and starts mentioning some of his jokes that make me chuckle as we both know that will be able to do slumber parties.

As soon as it ended, we headed back downstairs as I made eye contact with the bartender, I swear that my fucking entire blood froze. His black & white fur matched mine and his wings as well while wearing a minimal of clothing, which consisted of a black top hat with a red band and a gold button-like decoration, a red bowtie around his neck, and a set of black trousers which are held by black suspenders over his shoulders.

I saw him cleaning a wine glass at the bar, his back facing us but I could tell that he held a grouchy-looking expression and the sound of his heavy breath smelled of alcohol from a mile radius of my nose that it sent some deja vu; Not even taking a glance at me or the others until Charlie immediately called him out:

"Husk, we've got a new guest!!!!~" She singingly tells him, who only replies with an eye roll, and says it louder, "Husk, don't ignore her! She's standing right here, look!" The name was so familiar that it slowly began to dawn on me...

"Hey Gabes... you ok?" I ignored Angel's question, took deep breaths, and walked in with hesitant steps, my heart racing with both excitement and nervousness. I spotted him, standing behind the bar, nursing a drink with a faraway familiar look in his eyes and approached him, unsure of how he would react to seeing me after so long, so I said:

"Your name is Husk?"
