"I'm sorry to have pulled you away, from such a compelling.... Conversation." Jacaerys turned to me as we walked around the RedKeep.

"Compelling is one word for it. Thank you for saving me." I let out a small chuckle, as he returned it.

"You are very pretty." The silence lingered in the air for a moment, the cold breeze making it harder to focus on what I truly wanted to say. So I kept walking, my hands were over by my elbows, keeping my body a bit warmer.

"Are you cold?" Jacaerys asked as he placed a hand on my arm, holding me back from walking. My head turned towards him and I smiled.

"Slightly, winter isn't my favorite time of year, but neither is the heat." He smiled as the words left my mouth. He came up next to me, placing a hand on the small of my back.

"Let's get you inside. I'm so sorry." He ushered me inside and straight to a fire. He kneeled infront on me and grabbed my hands.

"Thank you, my prince." I gripped his hands in return, I looked into his eyes. The beautiful brown engulfing me in a state of warmth I didn't know could be possible. I'd wanted to stay there forever, or atleast until my lungs gave out.

Yet, I'd never get that luxury.

"Looks like the lovebirds finally returned. So soon?" Aegon and a few of his "friends" walked passed us. They snickered as if his joke was top tier. Which only made me angry, I gripped Jacaerys hands harder.

I ignored Aegon and just stared at jace while he stared at Aegon.

"I honestly didn't think it to be so soon. Yet I forget he's a virgin." That comment really made me angry. How dare he.

"Aegon that is enough." I said through gritted teeth. Jacaerys looked back at me and smiled weakly. I just kept my tight grip on his hands, kind of as reassurance.

"Oh come on, don't be like that! It's just a little harmless teasing." They laughed. I don't know why I had put up with this behavior from him for so long.

"Aegon! Shut it! No one cares for your dumb remarks! They only care about your title and coin! If I were you, which I'm glad I'm not, I would focus that teasing energy in finding new people to surround yourself with!" I shouted from behind my chair, the laughing stopped. All I heard were distant murmurs.

Their footsteps drew further away, I knew Aegon would never forgiven me for that. But that didn't matter, what was done was done. Jacaerys just stared at me, I couldn't tell what he was thinking, maybe he thought I was mad. Perhaps insane.

The way she handled herself. It made my body grow warm, desiring. Her words alone made me lust for her.

How her anger boiled to the surface, her skin glowing with crimson. It made me want to take her right here and now. I don't know what it is about her, her beauty has always been unmatched, even as children.

I'd admire her from as far as they'd let me, but all those years of lurking from afar, I had noticed she caught someone else eye as well. Her own brother.

At first I didn't know whether to be intimidated or, well that was the only thing I felt. Intimidation. How could I compare to someone who's known her his whole life. He knew how she presented herself although if it were a facade. How she handled herself in stressful situations.

I, on the other hand, didn't know the first thing about her, but I knew my feelings for her where stronger than any 50ft wave. They both engulfed people and drowned them in their contents.

I couldn't shake her even if I tried, And seeing her right in this moment, this angry, resentful woman made my heart ache.

"I'm so sorry. He had no reason to say those things. I apologize on his behalf." I looked over at the fire, I tried my hardest to focus on the sounds it made while I waited for his response.

"People don't have control over others words. You don't have to apologize." He held my hands firmly and gave me a warm smile.

After a few minutes I gestured for him to sit next to me, and he did. I intertwined our fingers and rested my head on his shoulder. His breathing became more relaxed, as did mine.

What we didn't know was that we were being watched. Aemond lurked in the shadows staring at us, I'd find out years later.

He stared at us with envy, angry, jealously. All notable expressions on his long, handsome face.
