Wen He walked through the hallways, in his hands a bound book of blank pages. He watched all of the other youth who gathered here at this sect, just to learn things he knew.
The walls were adorned with white, translucent silk that hung from the corners of the ceiling and served as a curtain for some windows. The floor which he stepped on was dark in color, sturdy and kept clean by the staff from which his family had gathered. He kept his mouth closed as he passed through until he spotted his classroom, with Tian Xing and Shen Yu already sitting there. It was early before class... yet many woke up at that time, like them. Wen He rose his head.

"A-He!" Tian Xing waved again, sitting next to Shen Yu

"A-He!" Tian Xing waved again, sitting next to Shen Yu.

The listener waved back to him and walked towards his seat. "Good morning! How was your room?"

"It was great! The view was pretty nice, and there was enough room. I'd say a solid 5 stars!" He said like a reviewer of a hotel, only that their recess was there to serve that purpose.

Wen He continued to sit and listen. "I'm glad you enjoyed it," He then turned to Shen Yu, who suddenly averted his gaze. "How about you, Shen Yu?"

"It was fine... I can't think of a rating." He replied, already bringing out his book for the class. "Tian Xing? Where's your instrument?"

"Ah wait waittt.." He opened his large sachet and revealed a flute. "Here! It's something my parent gave to me... and yours?"

"Actually, I don't have one. I'm not taking in the class of instrument cultivation, rather I'm here to polish my sword and cultivation skills." He finished, Shen Yu spotted them looking rather surprised.

"Oh! Wait why are you sitting here then?" Wen He chimed in, blinking twice.

Shen Yu kept eye contact. "I'm just waiting for class to begin. I'll leave now, you can sit there."

"...Thanks!" He momentarily answered, feeling him passed by... walking off and away from them. Wen He looked back at the direction where his friend left, silence ensues... then a figure in purple robes around his age walked into the classroom, he hadn't seen a person like that before. "Huh? Who are you?—"

"Ah, the 3rd son of the Wen clan!" The youth remarked, before his head took a bow. "I'm one of the exchange students, from the Xizi Zhou Clan."

"...What?" Wen He didn't recall that name being in the list of students for this class, he held onto his book.

"Mhm... call me Zhou Ye." He said after letting his head rise. "It's an honor to be in the same class as you, Wen Laozu."

Tian Xing stared at the stranger and rubbed his eyes. "Wait what. Do I know you?" He pointed at Zhou Ye.

"Maybe? But anyways. Let me sit with you." He shrugged and walked closer to the seat, suddenly being stopped by Wen He. "Eh? Did he already take that seat?"
