Author's Notes: This short chapter will be in Shen Yu's POV, entailing his encounters as he went missing from Yingzhen Peak's main building. Thank you for reading and enjoy this chapter!
Shen Yu's head was placed on the bed, eyes shut as he quietly slept. He moved his body and placed his arm off of the bed and let it hand loosely off the bed. As he changed positions, the wind became fierce as it blew through the window... yet he managed, that was until he felt a burst of awareness from a single touch of someone's hand and jolted his upper body out of the sheets.
His eyes wearily adjusted to the fact he just threw himself out of sleep and rubbed his eyes. While that happened he saw a strange figure who was placing some sort of doll, he raised an eyebrow to that and took a step out of bed, feeling the coldness of the floor. "Huh...who are you."
The person did not answer, but only stood still before walking off. The doll then approached Shen Yu, its small feet clacked across the ground in porcelain.
"...This must be a dream right?" He thought. Shen Yu blinked twice moved a few steps back, nearing towards the wall. That was when he noticed the doll suddenly held a smaller version of his sword, the one that leaned on the wall behind him. He readily grabbed his sword... "What is this.."
Despite his preparation, it continued to inch towards him. The doll then pointed its sword at him.
"Stop." It said in a tone so small that only a single person can hear.
He slashed once towards the doll, and nothing happened. With an eyebrow raised he gaped his mouth, closed it shut and tried again twice... which resulted in him taking breaths, usually it wouldn't be of much strife to do just 5 light strikes for Shen Yu. He leaned his hand on the wall, his left hand holding the sword that still pointed at it. "Stay back."
"Oh? Even such as a student like you possibly can be proud even in his own inner clothes?" The voice mocked again. "I'm lucky a demon such as I have you all to myself."
"What? The hell are you saying..." He twitched his eye.
"Don't worry, you're only a bait. You're too weak for me, waiting for your friend isn't much of a deal." The voice murmured.
"Ugh. What's your deal, why would you want Tian Xing or Wen He here..." He rolled his eyes.
The voice let out a chuckle. "That Tian Xing person has potential and Wen He is a person who's already well versed with his abilities. Plus, seeing the Yingzhen Peak go crazy over the Third String's disappearance would be an intresting sight."
Shen Yu stared in disbelief. "And out of all people, I'm the bait?"
"You're their friend, after all. Right? I can't make a mistake for Lord Qiu." The second statement was muttered under that voice's 'breath'. "Just wait for them to save you. It's inevitable to try escaping."
He sighed. "Fine. I have a few ground rules though.."
"What? Why am I taking rules from a mortal?" The voice mocked.
"You wouldn't want to lose your lure in the murky waters... 1. Don't kill me if they come too late, 2. Don't threaten to kill one of them, 3. Nobody dies... maybe except for you." He spoke with poise, with a hint of sass in his tone. Shen Yu held his sword close to him.
"..." The voice paused for a short while.
Shen Yu rose his head. "Are the instructions clear?"
"Hah! As if, I'll do what I want." It said.
Shen Yu said. "We'll see... just as they come in."
Author's Notes: From then on, it will continue in Wen He & Tian Xing's POV! Again, thank you for reading... stay tuned for the next chapter.
