"Wanna come over and have a beer?" Derek asked his intern "yeah sure" Genevieve said smiling as they made their way out of the New York City Hospital.

"I'll meet you there" Genevieve said as she got into her car which was right next to Derek's, "Alright see you." Derek said getting in his car.

Thankfully there was no traffic so it was just a 15 minute drive, Genevieve parked her car in Derek's porch and waited for him to get there. "Might as well put some music on" Genevieve said while pressing the radio button and 'Linger' by The Cranberries played making her put it on full volume.

"So why were you holding her hand? Is that the way we stand, were you lying all the time? Was I just-" Genevieve was singing when a pair of hands appeared on her car window making her scream and cover her mouth.

"Derek what the fuck" Genevieve said getting out of her car "I had to! I'm sorry" Derek said laughing, Genevieve soon joining him. They quieted down and started heading towards the front door.

"Be quiet I wanna scare her" Derek said smiling as Genevieve nodded and he quietly unlocked the door. Genevieve's eyes went wide when she heard a noise coming from upstairs, she turned her head to Derek and his smile had faded from his face.

Moans were coming from upstairs. "Derek-" Genevieve tried to say but he ran up and slammed the door open. "Are you fucking kidding me" Derek said and Genevieve made her way upstairs and what she saw made her eyes widen even more.

"Oh my god someone bleach my eyes please" Genevieve said covering her eyes "Derek!" Addison said as she moved away from Mark and put a shirt on "How could you do this to your Best friend?" Derek said with a hurt expression on his face while looking at Mark. Genevieve put her hands down as she stared at Mark who was staring right back at her as if Derek wasn't even there.

"Derek...listen to me. Derek, you can't do this. We have to.." Addison started to talk but Derek rushed to their shared closet and grabbed her stuff while ignoring her. "We have to talk about this. You have to give me a chance to explain" Addison said freaking out "No I don't." Derek said simply as he passed by Genevieve who was leaning on the doorframe.

Genevieve turned her head to the direction where Addison and Derek went and she could hear them arguing, she turned her attention back to Mark who was still laying in bed.

"Seriously?" Genevieve said with a disgusted face "Vie, I-" Mark tried to speak but Genevieve cut him off, "Don't even. I can't even look at you" Genevieve said shaking her head turning around as she started to walk downstairs where Addison and Derek were still arguing at.

She stopped in her tracks "You should leave before he comes and beats the fuck out of you" Genevieve said and then walked away.

When Genevieve got downstairs she heard Addison crying from the other side of the front door.

Derek was breathing heavily as he tried to ignore Addison's words.

"Please...Please....Derek Please..." Addison sobbed and Genevieve's vision started to get blurry, Derek and Addison were the parents she never had.

Derek breathed in and let her in.
"I'm sorry....I'm sorry. You have to give me a chance....You have to give me a chance to show you how sorry I am" Addison said as she walked in slowly and hugged him, Derek was stiff but still managed to hug her back.

"Okay" Derek said pulling away "Okay?" Addison asked confused "I'm gonna go, you stay. I'll get my clothes in the morning." Derek said as he looked at Genevieve who was trying to not cry.

"No, no, no.... We can survive this. Derek, we can survive this, we're Addison and Derek. Gen tell him!" Addison said turning to Genevieve's direction, Genevieve looked at the floor.

Derek closed the door and Addison turned to him. "I look at you and I feel nauseous. You wanna know why Gen isn't saying anything? It's because we're not Derek and Addison anymore"  Derek said as his hands went through his hair in a stressed way.

"If you go now...if you go now we're not going to get through this. If you go now, we don't have a chance, we don't have a chance" Addison said as Derek sighed and looked at Genevieve.

"Come on Gen" Derek said as he walked out and Genevieve following after him.

"Take care, Addi" Genevieve said as she smiled sadly at Addison's tear-stained face.

"So how about Seattle?" Genevieve asked as she took a sip from the drink, "Sounds good. Wanna leave tomorrow?" Derek asked as he looked at his friend "Yeah" Genevieve said smiling.
