The interns were getting ready, Genevieve just sat there and zoned out.
"Is she okay?" Cristina asked Meredith and Meredith shrugged.
"Gen, you okay?" Meredith asked and got no answer.
"I think she's still in shock" George said as Alex sat next to Genevieve and wrapped his arm sound her making her flinch and look away from the lockers to find her friends looking at her worriedly.
"Oh, hi Cristina" Genevieve said smiling as she moved away from Alex making him raise an eyebrow and walk towards izzie.
"Hey, Burke is acting like me keeping my apartment is criminal" Cristina said, "Are you sure he's just not acting like you lied about moving in?" Genevieve said and Meredith agreed with her as Cristina made a face at the two girls.
"Okay what is wrong with you guys?" Cristina asked, "My mommy's a filthy whore" Meredith said making Genevieve laugh as Cristina shrugged.
Genevieve's eyes darted to Alex and Izzie and she smiled, Alex looked around and caught her glance.
Genevieve smiled at him and he looked away and continued talking to izzie.

Genevieve got assigned to a teenager with the rest of the group.
"Jake Burton, 15. Has advanced craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. Was admitted last night after complaining of headaches." Cristina said.
"He's not a complainer" Mrs. Burton said, "He's been having some nausea as well" Mr. Burton said, "Okay. May I?" Derek said as the parents stepped aside so he could examine Jake.
"Can you sit up for me?" Derek asked Jake, "Sure," he said.
"Okay. I want you to look right here for me" Derek said holding his finger in front of Genevieve and Jake looks directly at her, she gave him a genuine smile and he tilted his head in confusion.
"Are you not uncomfortable or disgusted?" Jake asked "Why would I be?" Genevieve said and Derek nodded at her.
Jake's eyes darted to Cristina, who was next to Genevieve, she shifted her gaze uncomfortably.
"You know you could pretend I'm a lion. It helps" Jake said and Genevieve almost started bawling her eyes out.
"Sorry?" Cristina asked trying to see if she heard right, "You could pretend I'm a lion then instead of a really messed up kid, you get a talking circus animal which is way easier to look at." Jake said and Derek glanced at Genevieve.
"Dr. Ryder, would you mind waiting outside for lab results?" Derek asked due to Genevieve's glossy eyes.

Meredith was using a computer in the nurses' station. A very attractive man, with a leather jacket walked up to her.
"Invasive non-cell. With a history of COPD" The man said shrugging, "That guys pretty much a goner, huh?" The man said chuckling.
"Sensitivity. I like that in a person, are u new here?" Meredith asked, "Visiting, confounded by all the rain and it's only my first day in town" The man said as he looked around.
"You get used to it" Meredith said walking away, the man following after her.
"Hey, have you seen Alex? I've been wanting to talk to him but with the whole Jake case I haven't gotten the chance to" Genevieve said walking up to Meredith, not paying attention to the person who Meredith was talking to.
"Vie." The person next to her said and Genevieve stiffened up. "Vie? You guys know each other or something?" Meredith asked with an eyebrow raised as Genevieve slowly turned towards the man.
It was him.
"M-" Genevieve started but she stopped when she saw Derek running towards them, his eyes fixated Mark.
In a matter of seconds, Mark was on the floor holding his face and Derek was shaking his hand complaining.
Derek had punched Mark, Genevieve's eyes widened.
"What the hell was that?" Meredith asked confused, "That was Mark" Derek said walking away with his hand bruised.
Genevieve's eyes darted to Mark, who was staring at Derek walking away.
"Gen, do you wanna take him? Or should I?" Meredith asked and Marks eyes moved to Genevieve.
"You can take him" Genevieve said as she turned to walk away but a hand wrapped around her arm and pulled her back.
"No, I want you." Mark said and Meredith nodded and walked away.
Genevieve moved away from Marks grasp making him raise an eyebrow.
"Come" Genevieve said as she lead him to a room to clean his cut. She locked the door as Mark sat in the exam chair.
"Why are you here?" Genevieve asked moving to stand infront of Mark.
"I missed you" Mark said and Genevieve looked out the rooms window, seeing Meredith, Cristina, Alex, George, and izzie staring at them. Genevieve walked towards the window and closed the curtain.
She walked back to where she was standing and turned her attention back to Mark, "Really? You're gonna tell me you didn't have sex with Addison more than once after we left?" Genevieve asked crossing her arms as Mark chuckled and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer to him.
Genevieve was now in between his legs looking down at him as he looked up at her.
"Fine. Yes, I did have sex with Addison more than once. But I didn't come here for her." Mark said making Genevieve chuckle dryly.
"Right" Genevieve said as she opened a cabinet and pulled out some supplies to clean his cut.
She started cleaning the cut and he stared at her with eyes he knew she couldn't resist.
"Stop staring at me like that" Genevieve said and Mark smiled "Like what?" Mark asked tilting his head.
"Don't move." Genevieve said as she grabbed his face gently to keep it in place.
"Vie, I really did miss you" Mark said and Genevieve looked at him, "you need stitches" Genevieve said as she passed him the stitches (?).
"Aren't you going to do it?" Mark asked "You're a plastic surgeon. You can do it" Genevieve said patting his back leaving him shocked.

"Oh Alex can we talk?" Genevieve asked and Alex slightly nodded.
"What's up" Alex said.
"Look, I know that you have noticed me being distant" Genevieve said and Alex nodded, "Yeah I can't even touch you anymore without you walking away" Alex said.
"Izzie and you seem to be getting serious, so I've been distancing myself because I wouldn't like it if I had a boyfriend and his girl best friend didn't respect boundaries such as letting you get really close to her" Genevieve said and Alex raised an eyebrow.
"You're doing this for Iz?" Alex asked "Of course I am, it's girl code" Genevieve said and Alex chuckled.
"Can I give you a hug? I miss my best friend" Alex said and Genevieve smiled and nodded.
Alex wrapped his arms around Genevieve's waist, "I'm I interrupting something" Mark said scratching his neck and Genevieve jumped out of Alex's arms.
"No, uh, do you need anything?" Genevieve asked as she played with her necklace.
"Uh yeah, am scrubbing in Jake's surgery. Wanna scrub in?" Mark asked and Genevieve nodded.
"Can I scrub in Dr. Sloan?" Alex asked and Mark sighed, "No." Mark said as he grabbed Genevieve's hand and pulled her away with him.
