Alex started running towards the OR, where Mr. Carlson was at. "Hey! Slow down!" Webber said as Alex groaned and continued running.
"Okay everyone am going to do a thoracotomy and Hannah here is going to pull her hand out. Dr. Grey is going to clamp the bleeder when we have more exposure. " Said Burke, "Okay let's do this" Hannah said.
"Scalpel" Burke said and a nurse gave it to him, "Ok. One two" "Dr. Burke? I need to speak to you" Alex said out of breath from the door.
Genevieve and Meredith looked at each other, "Imagine if there was a bomb" Genevieve said and Meredith shook her head "Hopefully not" Meredith said.
"I am in surgery, Karev" Burke said in an annoyed tone "You wanna talk to me sir" Alex said and Burke sighed and walked towards him.
"Karev, if you interrupt me in my OR it better be for a good damm reason" Burke said "Was it through and through?" Alex asked and Burke looked at him confused.
"The wound on Carlson, was it through and through?" Alex asked "No, it was just an injury. No exit. Why?" Burke said and Alex stiffened up.
Meredith and Genevieve were staring at Burke and Alex with a worried face, "he's cute. Is he single?" Hannah asked and the girls ignored her.
"Hannah" Burke said "Yes Dr. Burke?" Hannah said, "What do you feel? Inside of Mr. Carlson. What is your hand touching?" Burke asked "What do you mean?" Hannah asked.
"He's asking if you feel anything hard, like metal or something soft" Genevieve said making Meredith's eyebrows furrow, and Hannah attempted to move her hand.
"Don't move your hand" Burke said "Dr. Burke what is going on?" Meredith asked with concern in her voices as Dr. Milton's eyes widened.
"Oh my god" he said and Burke looked at him "Dr. Milton!" Burke yelled.
"What's wrong?" Hannah asked as she started to panic.
"Hannah, I don't want you to move. Not your hand, not your body. Not an inch" Burke said slowly, "Okay you should know that you're starting to scare me" Hannah said looking around the surgical team.
"Don't be scared" Genevieve said in a comforting voice as Hannah breathed in and out.
"Everything is going to be fine. Dr. Grey, could you ah.." Burke said as he motioned Meredith to come forward, Meredith looked at Genevieve and walked forward.
Meredith's face showed two emotions, afraid and concerned. Genevieve started to feel nervous as well.
"I want you to walk out of this room. Walk, do not run. Go and tell the charge nurse that we have a code black" Burke whispered as Meredith raised her eyebrows.
"Im sorry, code black?" Meredith asked, "Code black, tell him that I am sure. And then tell him to call the bomb squad." Burke said and Meredith finally understood.
"Are we going to die or something?" Hannah asked and Genevieve chuckled nervously.
"Hopefully not" Genevieve said as she looked at Meredith, Burke and Alex talking.
"Can you imagine? What she stick her hand in there for anyway?" Alex asked as he looked at Genevieve who was staring right back at him, "Get all of them out except Milton and Hannah" Alex mouthed and Genevieve nodded.
"She was trying to save his life" Meredith said "And now she might die because of it" Alex said rolling his eyes.
The three step outside, "what do we do now?" Meredith asked "I go back in and wait for the bomb squad. You leave. You all leave" Burke said
and Genevieve's eyes widened at the word Bomb squad, she looked around and she saw the others also had scared faces.
