"It's you..!"

"You're the thief that stole my phone..!"

She stood up from the couch and pointed at him, she said that loud enough for her mother to hear.

"Your.. phone? why would I do..that?"

The guy spoke again, while crossing his arms and his eyebrows furrowed.

"Exactly, why would he do that? My nephew's definitely more sane than my daughter, that's one thing I know."

Her mom defended the guy, which left Y/N flabbergasted.

"But..!"

She realized that he probably didn't steal it and it was another person who did. This "going back in time" thing confused her. She just wanted to go home and get a new phone.

Y/N was staring at him, her eyebrow slightly furrowed, while Xiao crossed his arms, she eventually found out that his name was Xiao because her mom told her to apologize.

"You still haven't apologized for calling me a thief"

"That's because you are a thief"

"What makes you think that I stole something from you?"

"Because I said so."

Y/N found out that his father was friends with her mom and Xiao was her godchild.

They're at a record shop right now because Y/N's mom asked them to buy some recorded music. Her mom in 2024 likes a lot of vintage and old stuff so maybe they share the same interest.

"She won't like that one, your mom doesn't like loud music."

"She doesn't? But my m-"

She cut herself off realizing that her mom in 1988 probably does not share the same interest with her mom in 2024.

Xiao then started to grab a lot of records, he didn't make Y/N carry them of course, he barely even looked at her when they came to the shop.

They eventually payed for one record, they could only use Xiao's spare money since Y/N's mom forgot to give her some. It was so embarrassing especially since the seller seemed to know the both of them while Y/N doesn't.

"Hi Y/N and Xiao! How are you guys?"

The lady speaking to them has fair skin and blue hair that fades into a darker shade at the ends with violet eyes.

"Uhm.. we're doing.. fine.."

Y/N awkwardly replied, she has NOT seen this girl before, ever. She was hoping Xiao knew her and thankfully he did BUT he didn't even mention her name at all! She'll be doomed if she meets her again.

Xiao asked while they were walking home to Y/N's house. She didn't even have to ask him to walk her home, how nice.

"Upset? Why should I be?"

There was a long moment of silence before Xiao replied to her but when he did, he stopped walking.

"Because I don't like you."
