The next day came by and the team was preparing for the day. Team A was upstairs with the mayor setting up for the magic they needed to prepare. Luckily for them, the spell they needed for the serum would barely be powerful enough to alert any wizards. Team B was walking around with head of security, showing them the emergency plans in case anything happened.

Natsu trailed behind Gajeel, looking around unamused. He was bored; he always hated the beginning of a misson with the talking and talking. He flinched at a sudden hand touching his forearm, turning his head to see Lucy there with a smile. "Bored?" She giggled, gesturing to his face.

"I just can't wait for some action! I zoned out 20 minutes ago." Natsu puffs.

"We're not looking for action this time, crazy. We actually have to be safe with this one." Lucy reminds him causing him to grumble under his breath. "Who knows? You might run into her tonight."

"I hope so. I'm gonna beat her to a pulp before Gray and Gajeel do." Natsu grinned, his eyes sparkling with determination.

"Idiot." Lucy sweatdropped, unfortunately knowing that he was dead serious.

"How's your team going?"

"Good but there's only enough ingredients for one syringe so it has to be perfect." Lucy sighs. Natsu noticed how nervous she was, placing a hand on her shoulder and rubbing it softly which made her look up at him. "Hey, we dealt with worse. We got this." Natsu smiled, a soft smile gracing her lips.

The mayor's event was in full throttle; servers walking around with trays in their hands, his wife greeting people at the door, a live band playing outside in the backyard and the people smiling and laughing without a care. The energy was light and happy, no one shocked that five Fairy Tail wizards were here. Most people stopping them and having conversation.

There was no sign of the wizard they were supposed to apprehend. They started to believe that she wasn't coming by the third hour. They were getting anxious but they still remained calm. Natsu was stuffing his face at the food bar with Happy when Erza's voice came through the microphone in their ears.

"I just seen Natlynn walk in through the entrance. Be on guard."

Natsu straightened up before scanning the party. He spotted a head of wavy black hair walk past, not being able to see her face but he had a feeling. Gray looked over in that direction, looking back at him before nodding his head. "Come on." Natsu says to Happy, quietly walking over in that direction.

Natsu walked out to the patio, not seeing the blob of hair he had seen before. He looked around confused until Gray came beside him, "That's impossible. She should've been out here." Natsu said.

"Maybe she knows who are we after all." Happy retorts.

"If she does then we need to be on our toes. I'll stay out here, you go back inside and look around." Gray orders, stepping down into the backyard. Natsu scoffed, not wanting to take orders from Gray but heading inside followed by Happy. Natsu's lacrima rang in his pocket, taking it out to see Lucy's face on the screen. They quickly moved to a nearby room and answered.

"Natsu!" Lucy's voice spoke through the phone, "Have any of you found her yet? Levy's almost done with the serum."

"Not yet, it's like she vanished out of thin air. Ice Dick's outside looking for her." Natsu replied.

"I'll let you guys know when it's ready. Be safe." Lucy says before hanging up the phone. Natsu sighed and put phone back in his pocket before the two of them turned around, only to jump back in surpise. In front of them was the girl they were looking for, hand on her hip and a soft smirk on her face.
