XII- Finale

20 Years Later

"Lily, will you behave? We are almost to your aunt's house," I looked at my daughter who was messing with her brother, Kate was rolling her eyes at the two of them. We were going to see Rosalie and her kids, well and Emmett don't forget him. She wanted a reunion with all of us since it had been a few years since we had seen each other. Bella and Leah were going to be there, and so were Kate's sisters. They were also mine, now that Kate and I had been married for 18 years. "He hit me first!" "You are all adults, will you stop hitting each other?" We reached the house and walked in like we usually did. Rosalie came over and hugged us, "It's been too long," "It's only been three years, Rose." She rolled her eyes and we walked into the living room.

I hugged Emmett and the kids hugged each other, I went to Bella and hugged her. "Hey, how are you and Leah?" She looked at the wolf who was talking to Tanya, "We're good, after the divorce with Edward after everything, we decided to pursue everything." I smiled and nodded, "That's good, that's really good Bella, you deserve that." She smiled and I hugged the rest of everybody. 

I rolled my eyes at the kids running through the house, "No running! Go outside!" They ran out of the house, I shook my head and sat down. "Thanks for coming guys, I know it hasn't been long since I've seen some of you but I thought we could do a get-together." "You know we will always be up to seeing you, Rose." She waved me off, smiling. "It's different not being a part of a coven anymore, it's just us so seeing you guys makes my year." We all went and hugged her, causing her to laugh. "You're such a sap Rose!" She laughed at Bella and nodded. "Sometimes I am," We all sat back down, Kate in my lap as we talked about everything going on in our lives. 

I had been the one to help everyone have kids, and I knew it made their lives. We learned that they would live forever because with the way they were growing, they should have been showing signs or dead already but they weren't. But just in case we would still monitor them yearly. Though I monitor my kids weekly, but I know I can't do that to their kids. Watching them laugh and joke with each other, reminded me that no matter what was going to happen I would have a family to come back to. Even though my Moms were still around, and they were the most important people in my life other than my wife and kids, this family I always wanted to come back to.

Once we got back home I sat on the couch, holding Kate close. "It was nice seeing them all, I did miss them." "Yeah, me too. I just wish we all lived closer," "Me too, babe, maybe one day we can make that happen." She smiled against me and nodded, I pulled her closer. "Can you believe where are right now?" "No, no I can't, we have kids and we're vampires." "Yeah, and that's all thanks to you and your smart brain." I rolled my eyes with a smile, "I never let life take away a chance, even if our lives are frozen in time." She smiled at me, pecking my lips. "You gave me a family, I will forever brag about you. You're giving so many vampire families a chance." "I just used my brain and theories." "Stop putting your accomplishments down, you did a massive amazing thing, and I just want you to recognize that." I nodded and kissed her head, "Ok, I recognize it." She rolled her eyes and pecked my lips, "Come on, let's watch a movie." She put it on, and I heard our kids laughing at whatever they were doing.

This is where I always wanted to be, home with my little family. "I love you, Kate. So much." She looked at me, pulling me into a soft kiss. I hummed and kissed back, pulling her closer to me. She pulled away slowly, "I love you more, I can't see my life anywhere else without you." I smiled and we continued watching the movie, sharing a few more kisses, ok a lot of kisses. I don't think we actually watched the movie.
