April 13th 2023 (18 days before the murder)
Mitch went to school as usual but she noticed that something was off.
*Cyril was absent today, i wonder if something happened* Mitch thought
Mitch then went to the locker to find Cyril's friends Ziggy and the others, but before she could even open her mouth to ask why Cyril is absent today. the school bell rings indicating that the class starts now. this of course made Mitch pissed but rules are rules so she went to their classroom.
in break time, Mitch spends her time looking for Ziggy. while looking for him, Mitch suddenly bumps into Freya and a bunch of papers scattered around the floor.
"I'm so so sorry Miss President" Mitch says nervously while picking the documents
while Mitch was picking the documents up she suddenly realized that the documents were all related to the case she and Cyril had been investigating, it includes the list of victims, the victim's family members, and also the surviving victim's condition.
"w-what is this?" Mitch says showing the list of the victims to Freya
"t-that's nothing Mitch i just need to report the victims of the killer to the principal hehehe" Freya says followed by a nervous laugh
"well.....okay then" Mitch says as she gives the documents she picked up to Freya
"u-um thank you" Freya says to Mitch
Mitch smiled, and then continued searching for Ziggy.
after that the school bell rings again indicating that the break time is over. Mitch sighed as she wasn't able to find Ziggy so she was worried about Cyril the whole class, and when the school time was over she quickly ran on to Ziggy's desk.
"h-hey Ziggy" Mitch says
"hey Mitch! what's up!" Ziggy replied
"C-Cyril is absent today, so I'm kinda worried about him, do you know the reason why he's absent?" Mitch says, worried
"about that.......... i actually talked to his younger brother, Jarred Valor earlier" Ziggy says in a serious tone
"he said that Cyril was kidnapped last night, so he wasn't able to go to school today" Ziggy continued
"but don't worry, Mrs. Valor and the Police Department got it!" Ziggy says as he tries to cheer up
what Ziggy said shocked Mitch so much, that she wasn't able to say a word.
"Mitch? are you okay?" Ziggy says
"Ziggy, you're Cyril's bestfriend right?" Mitch asked
"uhh yeah" Ziggy answered
"well then be a good bestfriend and help me find him!" Mitch says as he grabs Ziggy's hands to the outside of the School.
--- In The Principal's Office ---
"good afternoon principal i heard you wanted to see me?" Freya says as she enters the Principal's office.
"yes, Miss Martinez. please take a seat" Principal Hawthorne says gesturing toward a chair in front of his desk.
"i received a report that one of the members of the Investigation team, Mister Cyril Valor has been kidnapped" Principal Hawthorne continued
*as i expected Cyril will get kidnapped by those men after what happened to Ron, but why are they kidnapping them one by one?* Freya thought
"uhh Miss Martinez, aren't you at least surprised on what happened?" Principal Hawthorne asked
"no, it's exactly what i expected, because of what happened to Ron last week" Freya says
"but why would they kidnap such a man?" Principal Hawthorne asked
"its because the killer told them to" Freya replied to the Principal
while thinking of a reason on why Ron and Cyril were both kidnapped, Freya suddenly remembered her conversation with Ron at the School Infirmary.
--- Flashback ---
"do you remember anything that had happened before you were kidnapped" Freya asked Ron
"i-i remember having text messages from an unknown contact saying that i shouldn't have helped the Investigation Team that's all" Ron answered
"did you tell Cyril that you got that message?" Freya asked
"no, the contact also said that i shouln't tell Cyril or others that i received that message or else i'll get killed" Ron answers with a scared look on his face
"by the way, you said that you helped them investigate right? can you tell me the clues or informations you guys found?" Freya asked
"the clues we........found?" Ron says
"argh!!!" Ron screams as his head suddenly begins to hurt
"Ron? are you okay?" Freya asked, worried
"the things we investigated..............i don't remember any of it" Ron says
--- End of Flashback ---
"Principal! i think i finally know the reason why" Freya says
"R-Really?" Principal Hawthorne says
"they kidnap them in order to return the progress of their investigation back to zero" Freya says
--- Somewhere in the town ---
Cyril wakes up in a dark room, he is all tied up in a chair. it seems that the kidnapper took him not that far from the town, the room had a dark and gloomy atmosphere that makes Cyril feel uneasy. the room was also so cold he can feel the coldness in his hands. due to being locked up in the room and also the window being closed up by wooden planks he is also unsure of what time it is, also the house is so empty that he can hear the kidnapper's footsteps coming to him.
Cyril's a bit disoriented that's why when he opened his eyes he couldn't think cleary, he also doesn't know where he's at so all he can do is to murmur the words "where am i?"
*wait a minute.............aren't i in my room earlier what happened to me?* Cyril thought
"well well you finally woke up, Cyril Valor......." The Kidnapper says in a menacing voice
*ohh yeah i remember now, i got kidnapped after i saw that message from an Unknown Contact.* Cyril thought
"tell me Mr. Kidnapper, were you the same one who kidnapped Ron?" Cyril asked the kidnapper
"i don't have time to answer your questions i'm only here to hypnotize you" The Kidnapper says
"i'll take that as a yes......................WAIT A MINUTE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN HYPNOTIZE ME!?" Cyril screamed
"i'll hypnotize you so that you'll forget every information and every evidence you gathered" The Kidnapper says in a menacing way
Cyril just glanced at him, suddenly a he left out a short smile. "say Mr. Kidnapper what don't we test that hypnotizing if it's effective or not?" Cyril seemingly challenged The Kidnapper while feeling smug
"heh, fine then!" The Kidnapper accepts
"okay! first, you tell me who's the man who ordered you to kidnap me and Ron. after that, you will do that 'HIP-NO-TY-SING' or something like that, if i forgot the name of the person you told me, you win, but if i can still remember the name of that person, then you lost" Cyril says
"fine then" The Kidnapper says
*i can't believe he fell for that, is this guy dumb?* Cyril thought while smiling
The Kidnapper says "well then............the person who ordered me to kidnap you and the other guy"
