Aylin took two steps back. She was in the dark and couldn't see the figure clearly. The person took a step forward, and Aylin retreated further, rummaging through her bag. The figure came into the light of the street lamp, revealing Joshua's face. He looked concerned as he spoke, "Aylin, you shouldn't be out alone this late at night."

Aylin sighed in relief, loosening her grip on the pepper spray in her bag. "Were you following me?" she asked, looking intently at Joshua.

"No, I just came from the alley ahead," Joshua replied. Aylin glanced behind her nervously. "Is someone following you?" Joshua asked, now on high alert.

"No," Aylin shook her head. She still couldn’t understand why Joshua was there. "What are you doing here?" she questioned.

"I came for you," Joshua answered.

"For me?" Aylin asked, confused.

"Yes, Taehyung mentioned before he left that he saw you walking alone. I didn’t think it was safe for you to be out by yourself, so I came to find you."

"That wasn't necessary. I can take care of myself," Aylin insisted.

Joshua smiled slightly, "I know you can take care of yourself, but that doesn't mean you have to. You were my responsibility tonight,I   called you here for meeting, and it's my duty to make sure you get home safely."

"But I don't ride alone in a car with any man..." Aylin began.

Joshua cut her off, "Do you see a car around here? No, right?"

Aylin looked at him, still puzzled.

He smiled gently, "I will walk you home."

.

The ally Joshua had come from, at the end of which was a car that both he and Aylin were unaware of. Taehyung was in the car, watching them. He had returned even though he had initially left, which had upset Joshua since he had been angry that Taehyung had left Aylin alone at night.
But  Joshua, Joshua hadn't left her alone and was there to protect her.

Taehyung never felt jealous of Joshua. In fact, he saw a lot of himself in Joshua. Like Taehyung, Joshua was also an orphan without parents. Sometimes, Taehyung felt pity for Joshua. At least Taehyung had a brother who always stood by him like a shield, but Joshua,he had no one. However, seeing Joshua there with Aylin tonight made Taehyung feel an unexpected pang of envy.

"What was I thinking, coming here?" Taehyung muttered to himself. "Ahhh, it was Joshua's words that made me feel guilty, that's why I came back." He said to himself or tried to explain it to himself, but he couldn't fully understand. Shaking his head, he drove the car forward.

Aylin could feel someone's eyes on her back. Normally, she wasn't easily frightened, but something about this moment made her uneasy. Under usual circumstances, she would never agree to go with Joshua, but at this time, having Joshua by her side gave her a sense of security. She agreed to go with him.

As they walked, Aylin was reminded of someone else. Joshua's concern and presence always reminds her  of someone and  today him  walking her  home again reminds her of someone

When Aylin stopped in front of a house with green fields around it, Joshua stopped too. Turning to him, she said, "We've arrived. You can leave now."

Joshua glanced at the house where Aylin's car was parked outside. "You live so close, yet you come by car every day?"

Aylin smiled slightly. "I don't live here. This is my sister's house."

Joshua furrowed his brows in confusion. "I don't get it."
