( At the hospital )

“ Raf, Miko, Jack? We got another. ”

The trio turned to see a horrific sight.

Rex, was in his disguise, holding a blood stained, injured and passed out K in his arms, frantically running towards the trio.

Jack instantly acted, getting up to calm his mom, Raf just froze in his seat.

“ Oh my gosh. What happened??? ” Miko asked in shock.

“ No time to explain, please help both of them! ” Rex pleaded with Nurse Darby as she took K from his arms into the other room.

“ How?… ” Jack asked as he walked back to his seat with the others. “ Was it that bad? ”

“ ... ” Rex did not reply, he let himself fall onto a seat and hunch over with his hands over his face.

The others remained silent.

What could have happened? They thought as they looked towards one another.

As time ticked slowly, the others were getting more nervous.

Rex had moved from his position and was now staring at K and Aqua’s relic.

He had picked up Aqua’s relic from the ground and collected K’s relic off her scarf during the rush to the hospital.

He knew that K’s relic was the only thing keeping K immortal but he can't risk another thing happening due to the relics.

He just hoped that Aqua was alright and hoped that he was close enough for K’s relic to work on K.

“ Good news, both girls are alright. The makeshift bandages on the girl with brown and pink hair saved her from losing any more blood, saving her life in the process. Whoever did those definitely deserves praise. ” Nurse Darby, walking out of the room, stated to the kids and Rex waiting outside. “ She is currently in icu, she has major injuries, but it will heal within time and care. ”

“ Oh thank Arce- nevermind, thank you. What about K? ” Rex stood up from his seat and looked with pleading eyes to Nurse Darby.

“ She is alright as well, we treated her wounds and she will be checked on soon by another doctor. ” Nurse Darby replied. “ How did the two even get that injured? ”

“ Urm…there was a bit of an accident when I was not home…I don’t know. ” Rex stated, clearly disappointed in himself.

Nurse Darby placed a comforting hand on , and looked at the three children behind him.

“ It's okay. Accidents happen. Especially within Team Prime. ” June said, smiling.

“ Thank you, I- wait. I never mentioned anything about Team Prime… ” Rex looked confused.

“ Well, that's what happened right? I mean, how else would they have gotten injured so badly? And how else would you know Raf, Jack and Miko? You're not even young enough to go school. And besides, if it was a car accident, I would've heard about it as soon as it happened. This is a very small town. ” June said, her eyes sparkling in understanding.

She too had her rough times with Team Prime.

“ What's your name, sir? We need it to fill out some forms of consent and it seems that you are their parent or guardian that is available. ”

“ Uh, Rex, ma'am, and I'm 21. I don't have a last name because I don't know who my parents were. Neither did Aqua and K. They were abandoned at a young age and forced to move on, until I adopted them a few years back. ” Rex explained.
