Chapter 17

Two days have gone by since they returned back to base. 

Aqua had been managing pretty well, and had just been resting for some time, while trying to train K, along with Rex and the other children. 

Aqua had also been trying to do some more research on the next crystals, even though Optimus tried to advise against it, but Aqua insisted. 

K was still really angry at the autobots. ( -Bee and Smoky cauz K believes they did nothing wrong )

She didn’t feel sorry for attacking Arcee and making her witness a lot of stuff no one was ever supposed to witness. 

After all, both Arcee and Jack almost completely ignored her during their Amazon trip and that hurt her alot. 

She was also quite mad at Aqua for still helping out the autobots. 

K didn’t want anything to do with them anymore, but she was still with them because Aqua and Rex were there. 

Rex, well, Rex was just trying to make sure the K and Aqua were safe. 

He felt he had failed as a big brother to save Aqua, but he was just glad she was alive, that they both were, or else he’d never forget himself. 

He at times helped K with her powers and at times helped Aqua.

The trio had also returned and began hanging out with Aqua and K, pretending like nothing ever happened, which Aqua was grateful for. 

There were times where they asked her if she was okay here and there, but other than that, everything was almost back to normal. 

Aqua had also been trying her best to recreate the same vortex that brought them here in the first place. 

She would be lying if she said she wasn’t tired. 

But she knew that there was no break in the middle of the war. 

Until today, she finally had a lead to both of the problems. 

She gathered all the autobots to inform them of the news. 

Miko had also been helping. 

“ I think I may have a lead on where the next crystal could be. And that crystal is Lumicryst. Since, in your terms, Lumicryst represents Autobots, and in our case, represents light, I have a feeling that Lumicryst… ” Aqua dragged off, letting Miko finish the sentence. 

“ -Is in Japan! ” Miko finished. She let out a breath before starting to explain. “ It’s quite simple, really. A long time ago, Japan’s name was originally called Nippon, which translates to “Land of The Rising Sun”. And the sun is our main source of light, kinda representing Lumicryst. ”

“ And… based on my research of unexplained crystal sightings, etc, etc, I’ve managed to locate the Lumicryst crystal in the city of Kyoto! And I think specifically, the Byodoin Temple! ” Aqua finished. 

“ Why at that temple, though? ” Arcee asked. 

Aqua cleared her throat excited to share her discovery. 

“ Because the equality of Buddha is represented by light, thus, Byodoin Temple is the temple of light. And the best coincidence is that Kyoto is located in the east of Japan, which is the direction in which the sun rises! ” Aqua explained animatedly. 

She was so happy to finally get this off her chest so she high-fived Miko. 

“ Why am I not surprised that Miko knows about this. ” Jack rolled his eyes.
