"Can we get, can we get better? Existing for you is the present"

She runs to the same bench she always coming for. The bench where it always reminds of Youngchae. Her tears continue to roll down her cheeks, she just lost it. There's no way in hell she can still save it in 10 minutes when she worked hard for it for 5 hours straight.

Everything fell apart again for her. The motivation she holds and the courage to continue just slipped away. Everything is gone.

That's when her eyes were being blurred because of her tears flowing. A colorful painting suddenly flashed in front of her eyes. She doesn't know if someone is trying to blind her but she tries to wipe off her tears only to see a painting in front of her. When she found the hand holding the painting at the side, she slowly looked up to find the person's identity only to find out it was him. Again.

Ji Changmin.

Their eyes found each other. Her eyes were lost from his gaze as if she was being hypnotized by it but then she looked away when she saw him smile. It just reminds her how she hates to see him smile. It's him again. She thought.

She put back her attention on the painting he was holding. It confused her why he brought the painting when he supposedly submitted it to the teacher. She doesn't have any answer to her thoughts but Changmin sits beside her, She lets him do whatever he wants. She was not in the mood to stop him from doing anything as she was too broken to try. He showed the painting to her and she realized it was too bright for her liking. Maybe because she just doesn't like bright colors, they were just look so happy.

"It's so bright... " For the first time, She starts their conversation. She could feel that he looked shocked too but she kept her eyes on the painting.

"That's how I see the world. " too deep for an answer.

Changmin reached for Jiyeon's hand but the girl didn't also complain or move any muscle to stop him, she just went with the flow of whatever he was about to do. The boy smiled for a moment before he let her hold the painting and gave it fully to her hands. He let him stare at the painting. "I'll give it to you. "

Her eyes widened before she shook her head at him "I will not going to accept this. "

Changmin looks into her eyes.

"Why? Because it came from me? Then if I tell you that it wasn't from me will you gonna accept it? " Changmin asked softly as she just stared at him still holding the painting in her hand. "No, It's because you worked hard for this. There's no way I'll accept this and take someone's credit"

She was about to give the painting back to him but he spoke once again. "I still haven't put my name in there. You can still have it. "

"No. " She refused.

"It's free."

'No, Changmin I will not—"

"That's served as your last hope, Jiyeon. "

That makes her in silent. Her last hope. She looked at the painting she was holding It was clear that Changmin was helping her but she continued to decline the offer. But if the teacher knew that she's not the one who made this, it's still not worth it to have the grade she's trying to aim for. But if it means taking someone's work will help her then it's better than failing. Like what he said... Last hope.

She looks at him. "Why are you doing this? Helping me when all I do to you was to push you away. What do you really need from me, Changmin?"

She asked... She was really confused why would he give up something that would also give him the grades he lost? Both of them trying to pass the school year but why is he willing to give up the painting for her? She isn't that special. Changmin smile.

"I want to see you proceed that's it. I don't have any bad intentions or any wishes to come true, I just want to be sure that you are fine without Youngchae. " He confess as Jiyeon couldn't find any words to tell. She just didn't expect him to be honest this time.

She still hesitates in taking the painting. She doesn't like the idea but she's desperate right now.

"Submit it as your own. Don't mind me, I can still pass my other painting tomorrow, tho there's a deduction I still don't mind, You need it more than I do. " Hearing those words from him, She felt a bead of tears about to fall in the corner of her eyes.

All her actions towards him for the past months flash in her mind. All the things she said... She didn't know why he still stayed to be kind rather than leave her alone the first time she pushed him away. She felt so guilty. He doesn't deserve all that treatment.

And yet... She'll only realize it right now.
