"Thought that we could hide away in a corner of the heath. There's never been someone who's so perfect for me."

*Jack's POV*
The puck is in our possession. I skate fast behind Cole, never looking behind me but making sure nobody is able to stop his motion. We are approaching the Blues' net. Their goalie is on guard, pushing left and right on his skates trying his hardest to predict where we will go.
Cole looks over his shoulder and nods. Wordlessly, he passes the puck to me and like we've done so many times, I fake a shot on goal and at the last second slide it to Cole who puts it between the goalies legs.
Prudential Center is rocking. The hometown crowd cheers as loud as they can as we just scored a breakaway goal which pushed us one point away from a the tie game we've been locked in. Before Cole and I head back to our bench I take a half lap around the glass and spot Lennon sitting a few seats away from the bench.
She's bundled up in a thick hoodie with my jersey pulled over it. Her hair is let down in tight curls and she has the brightest smile on her face. As I pass by her she blows me a kiss that has my face heating up.
We have been making some really good progress this week. I have seen a significant change in how I'm talked about in the media and I only have Lennon to thank for that. She's be a constant presence at my side. Coming with me to every event and just being there when I need her.
Seeing her sitting in the stands with my jersey pulled over her hoodie solidifies what I already know. I love Lennon. I've loved her my entire life but I've only been in love with her for half of it. At first it started out innocent but now I can't stop thinking about her.
I want to be with her all the time. She makes every day brighter but just being there. I didn't know love like this existed until something switched in my brain and I started seeing Lennon in a different light. I truly believe she is my soulmate. There's no one in this world I would rather spend my life with.
In the back of my mind I've been thinking about the pact we made. When I first said it I meant it as a joke. I didn't think of Lennon as someone I would marry but deep down I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my time on earth with her by my side.
Snapping out of my thoughts because they are starting to get way too serious for the middle of the game, I wave my gloved fingers at her. The action causes her smile to wider. Eyes sparking as she watches me skate the rest of the way to the bench. My shift is over now so I get to sit and stare at her until it's my turn again.
"Focus on the game man." Sam knocks his shoulder into mine as he sits down. I could tell him the same thing as I catch him stealing glances of Noelia who is seated right next to Lennon.
