Amayra felt a mixture of relief and gratitude. She was with Gojo, a man who understood and supported her like no one else had. With a deep breath, she continued to share her story, her voice steady and clear.

"You know, Gojo, it was my last year in school when all of this happened. My ex, since he failed, was in a grade lower than me. So while I was getting ready to leave school, he still had another year to go. After our breakup, I started hearing things from our mutual friends—friends who were also close to him."

Gojo listened intently, his hand resting reassuringly on hers. Amayra continued, "These friends told me that he was already interested in another girl. They warned me, saying he wasn't a good guy for dating. They claimed he was really a good guy at first, and that girls kept breaking his heart. But that was just a facade. I learned the hard way that he was the one who was breaking hearts."

She paused, her eyes distant as she recalled the painful memories. "It was tough, hearing from his friends that he had cheated on me. At first, I didn't believe them. But as months passed, I started to see the truth. About six months after our breakup, I saw him with the girl I had heard rumors about. They were together, and it confirmed everything."

Gojo squeezed her hand, his eyes filled with empathy. "It must have been hard seeing that."

"It was," Amayra admitted. "I couldn't understand how someone could be happy with a guy who had cheated on his previous girlfriend. I realized he must have manipulated her, just like he had manipulated me. And the worst part was discovering that he had used the same excuses and lies with other girls before me. He had a pattern, a routine of using and discarding girls."

She sighed deeply, a mix of frustration and relief in her voice. "For a moment, I felt like telling his new girlfriend the truth about him. But then I thought, why should I? If she didn't see through his lies, it wasn't my job to open her eyes. I decided not to waste my time on someone who had treated me so poorly."

Amayra looked at Gojo, her eyes shining with gratitude. "I'm so happy to be with you now, Gojo. I don't want to waste another second thinking about him. I'm not into the hookup culture like he was. When I'm with someone, I take it seriously. I mean it when I say you are my future."

Gojo smiled, his heart swelling with love for her. "And you are my future, Amyra. I'm glad you shared this with me. It shows how strong you are, and it makes me appreciate what we have even more."

Amayra leaned into him, feeling a profound sense of peace. "Thank you for understanding, Gojo. I'm grateful for where I am now and for the love we share. My past doesn't define me, but it has shaped me, and I'm glad it led me to you."

As they sat together, the warmth of their connection enveloped them. Amyra felt a sense of closure, knowing that her past was behind her and her future was bright with Gojo by her side. The journey had been difficult, but it had brought her to a place of love, trust, and happiness. And that was all that mattered.

With a lighter tone, Amayra chuckled and said, "You know, Gojo, looking back now, it's almost laughable. How can someone be so careless? I mean, he failed his grade and had another year to go while I was moving on with my life."

Gojo smiled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. He had all the time in the world to study, but instead, he was busy with all those flings."

Amayra laughed, feeling a sense of relief at being able to joke about it now. "Exactly! It's like, what was he even thinking? He was more invested in his so-called relationships than in his education. And to think he believed that was a sustainable way to live."

Gojo leaned back, shaking his head in disbelief. "I honestly feel for his parents. They must have had a tough time dealing with him. Imagine having a son who spends more time chasing after girls than working on his future."

Amayra nodded, her laughter bubbling up. "I know, right? They must have been exasperated. Here we are, joking about it, but I can only imagine the frustration they felt. It's like he had no sense of responsibility whatsoever."

Gojo grinned, playing along with the lighthearted banter. "Maybe he thought he'd find a rich girlfriend to take care of him so he wouldn't need to study or work."

Amayra burst into laughter, playfully nudging Gojo. "Oh, that sounds exactly like something he would believe! And the irony is, he thought he was so clever."

Gojo smirked, his eyes full of mischief. "Well, clearly, his plan didn't work out. Otherwise, he'd still be living that fantasy life."

Amayra sighed with a smile, her heart feeling lighter. "You know, Gojo, I'm so glad I moved on. I was so much better off without him. And honestly, these days, when I think about it, I just feel sorry for him. He missed out on growing up and becoming a better person."

Gojo pulled her closer, kissing her forehead gently. "And I'm so glad you found your way to me. You're an incredible person, Amayra. Your past is just a chapter, and our future is the whole book."

Amyra smiled, her heart brimming with love and gratitude. "Thank you, Gojo. I'm so grateful for you and the
life we are building together. It's been a journey, but every step has brought me to you, and I wouldn't change a thing."

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, enjoying the warmth of each other’s presence. Then, with a playful glint in her eye, Amayra added, "You know, sometimes I wonder what he's doing now. Probably still trying to charm his way through life."

Gojo laughed, shaking his head. "I wouldn't be surprised. But hey, that's his problem now. We have our own amazing life to focus on."

Amayra nodded, feeling a sense of closure and contentment. "Absolutely. And I'm excited about our future. Every moment with you feels like a new adventure."

Gojo leaned in, kissing her softly. "Here's to many more adventures together."
