3:50 AM, bedroom

I couldn't sleep at all. No matter how much I tried, one thing plagued my mind: All Might.
He was the person I aimed to be my entire life- make a suit as powerful as him, as mighty as he was. It gave me a reason to keep making the suits.
But he was mighty, at least not anymore. He'd been diminished to a feeble version of himself that couldn't keep his muscular form for more than three hours. Was all the time I spent working and tinkering for nothing? Did this mean what my father wanted was never going to go anywhere? The armor, the company- me? No, I couldn't let that happen. I had to keep moving forward.
For my dad, for me.
I got out of my bed, put some clothes on and headed to the garage.

-

''I think I found the solution.''
Anyways, I was disappointed with how my suit performed during the battle trial. If it hadn't worn out of battery, I would've been able to keep them both preoccupied for a little longer. Although, I was grateful that I had lost so I knew that it was a problem in the first place.
Especially because of what unexpected event would play out that day.
''Jarvis, can you put these in the suit? They're going to work as expanded energy reserves so the suit won't die out so quickly when using repulsors and equipment. Think I got to far ahead of myself when adding weapons and forgot about the energy aspect...''
//I'll add them now sir. It's never bad to add firepower, however. Without the suit, you're rendered vulnerable to quirks.\\

''You're not wrong, Jarvis. But that gave me an idea so you will be wrong.''
I figured, 'Ok, well, if I'm not able to call my suit if I don't have one on me at the time, what will I do if I'm faced with trouble?'. Sure, I had trained in boxing, so I was capable of combat if need be, but in a world where eighty percent of the people could wipe me off the face of the earth, I needed something else.
I built a small cube-like object that could transform into a pair of gloves that I could put on and use to punch super hard. I know it sounds stupid, but it was a temporary fix to a soon to be permanent solution. That solution was hands down the best suit I ever created.
But, I'll save that for the appropriate time.
I managed to fit my suit into the suitcase and got on my way to school.

Holy shit. What a crowd.
Surrounding the entrance to the campus grounds we're multiple news vans and lots of reporters clamoring to get in.
"We want to see All Might! Just a quote for the news, please!"
I walked up to the crowd, squeezing my way through.
''Woah, 'scuse me, excusez-moi!''
As I was half way through the crowd, a reporter grabbed me by my shoulder.
"Are you in the hero course young man?!"
I turned around,
''Yeah, what about it?''
"Can you tell me how classes are going with All Might?"
I looked at the microphones being shoved in my face.
What if I told them the truth? All Might wasn't mighty anymore? Can you imagine how earth-shattering that'd be? I'd be the cause for a whole generation's inspirations to disappear.

But I'm not a dick. I can keep a word or two.
''For sure, it's great. Y'know havin' a guy like him be able to teach us really goes a long way. Being a hero aint no joke, and who better to teach you the fundamentals of becoming one better than the guy who mastered them, y'know?''
"What a great synopsis! Thank you so much!"
''Heh, anytime- but hey, one more thing!''
I pointed towards the camera with a long smile on my face.
''All the schools out there that are our rivals- Shiketsu, Ketsubutsu- Yall aint got nothin' on us! Us first years are built different! That's comin' from your favorite American!''
I turned my back and walked away from the camera and stuck up a peace sign as I walked away. I thought I was such a badass.

After I got to class and took my seat, Mr. Aizawa took head.
"Good morning everyone. Good work on yesterdays combat training. I watched the footage." He started,
"Bakugo, you're talented. So don't act like a kid."
"And Midoriya, you settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying you can't help it because you can't control your quirk. I don't like saying the same thing over and over, as long as you fix the control issue, there's lots you'll be able to do."
"And Y/N, for being the only quirkless person in the hero course, you're doing a good job."
I gave a bright smile to Mr. Aizawa,
''Good to know I'm the only quirkless person, eh? Thanks' sir, means a lot.''
He nodded, turning back to start the lesson.
Momo leaned over from behind you and whispered.
"You we're really good out there, Y/N. I loved watching you fight."
Your face immediately turned into a hot mess,
''T-Thanks. Means a lot, so much.''
"Now, let's get down to homeroom issues." Aizawa said,
"Sorry about the late notice, but today, I'll have you..."
The class collectively worried,
'Please don't let it be such a special test!'
"...pick class representatives.'
'It's a totally normal school activity!'
Eijiro shot up from his seat,
"I want to be class representative! Pick me!"
"Me two!"
"Me three!"
People popped up all over the place for the role, I stayed back though, I've never been great at being a leader.
Momo leaned over to me from her chair,
"Y/N, why don't you try and run for class representative?"
I wheezed with a large smile on my face, waving my hand,
''I think I'd make this class go backwards if I was a class rep! ᴡʜᴇᴇᴢᴇ HA!''
Momo covered her mouth and giggled, "Oh, stop! You have nothing bad about you! Give it a shot!"
''What are you, a villain!? You're wishing on downfall! HAHAAAAAAAA!''

I slapped my knee as I laughed, nearly falling backwards in my chair. Me and Momo talked for what seemed like hours, then Ida shot up from his chair.
"SILENCE, PLEASE!"
Everyone faced to turn him,
"It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. It is not a job for just anyone who wants to do it. If we use democracy to decide on a true leader, then we should hold an election to choose one!"
His hand was literally raised the highest.
''Your hand is raised the highest, though...''I said, Denki, Eijiro and Tsu added,
"Why'd you suggest that?"
"We haven't known each other for long, how can we trust everyone?"
"And what if everyone just votes for themselves..?"
Ida answered,
"Don't you think that is precisely why whoever receives multiple votes here can be truly considered the most suitable person? What do you think Mr. Aizawa?"
He was already in his sleeping bag and on his way to sleep,
"I don't care, as long as you have two people by the end of class."
"Yes sir! Thank you!"

As all the votes we're tallied up, It ended up being Deku as the class rep and Momo as the vice rep. Nice!
"I-I got th-three votes!?"
I turned to look at Deku,
''Bro, you're like one of the smartest here. Do you ever recognize your own strength?'' I turned to look at Momo,
''Only right that you'd be up there, eh? I did vote for you after all.''
She gave me a smile, her face turning a little red,
"Well, I'm glad people trust me, especially you, Y/N."
She said especially? She did. We're moving places in life! Should I try and press back? Fuck it, i'm curious.
''Especially me? Hoho, what makes you say that?''
"No particular reason." Our eyes both locked, the sunlight reflecting off her face made her look so beautiful as her eyes glistened. I blinked and looked away,
''Alright, you won that staring contest for sure!''
Once again, I'm lookin' like a ripe tomato.
