It's been a couple weeks since we found out Trystyn's real age. The weird thing is that Trystyn and Tyler have been acting weird. Not a good weird either. I mean I know Trystyn likes Tyler and vice versa, but I would've thought by now they'd be acting like a couple ya know. I just shrugged as Trystyn came up to me. "Hey what's up kiddo?" I asked ruffling his hair. He let out a soft chuckle and fixed his hair saying "the usual." I looked around the mall to make sure no one was trying to listen in on our convo before asking. "What's going on with you and Ty?" "In all honesty? I don't know." He stated looking down at his feet as we continued walking. I asked "didn't you ask him to be, you know, your boyfriend?" "Yeah." He said. I stated "he said yes, right? Isn't that a good thing." " you just don't get it do your justin." He said exasperated looking at me. I stated "oh my god he said no!" "No! He didn't say anything he was lost in thought when I asked, fighting with himself. So I told him he didn't have to answer right yet and that I'd wait a thousand years for him." He groaned. I looked at him wide eyed. Why wouldn't Tyler jump on this opportunity? Is he hiding something? Maybe his brain is full of what ifs. "Jay?" Trys said grabbing my attention. I responded with "hmmm?" "Did you hear what I just said?" He asked. I smiled at him sheepishly rubbing the back of my neck before saying "um......no sorry kiddo." "I kinda wish Tyler wouldn't take this long to give me an answer. Do you think he doesn't like me in that way?" He asked looking up at me. I said "bud, i think he does like you the same way." "Then why hasn't he talked to me in the last week?" He asked. He searched my eyes for answers. All he wants is answers. His eyes give away his fear. He's afraid of people leaving him. Afraid of being alone with the voices. I sighed giving the 17 year old a hug before saying "I don't know kid, I don't know."
