Blake paces back and forth in his room, holding a box with a necklace. "Okay, Blake, you got this," he tells himself, Fae sitting on a nearby chair. "Dude, you aren't purposing you're giving Robin a gift for your guy's first month together. Seriously, it's not a big deal," Fae says, having had to listen to Blake for hours, "but I understand it's a big thing to you, so Blake, listen to me... you got this," Fae says, placing her hands on his shoulders before leaving the room
Robin sits in the Royal archives, still attempting to figure out the gifts. "Okay, the gifts are... objects... NO SHIT!" Robin says, slamming the book in front of them shut and leaning back in their chair. "Ugh, I swear essays were easier to research for than these stupid gifts," Robin says before thinking back to Ophelia and Light. "... wait, both of them called us the gifts... OPHELIA HAS GOTTA KNOW!" Robin exclaims, running out of the archives
The doors to Ophelia's throne room open as Robin crashes in. "Ophelia!" Robin yells, drawing Ophelia's attitude. "Yes?" Ophelia says, visibly confused. "okay, I know you've gotta know about the gifts, so what are they," Robin says, their expression full of hope. Ophelia's face immediately went pale, full of surprise, quickly turning into an expression of rage. "Robin.. why do you ask?" Ophelia said through grinding teeth. "Well, I... noticed how you called me Blake and Cyrus the gifts," Robin said, staring at Ophelia, their expression no longer hopeful but full of fear. "Well, Robin.. I suggest you drop the subject and stop talking about the nickname I gave you and your friends," Ophelia says, forcing a smile. "Well, I read about these legends about the gifts," Robin is interrupted by Ophelia yelling for them to be quiet. "QUIET!" Robin immediately froze at Ophelia's yelling. "Now stop talking about these silly legends and leave my throne room," Ophelia demanded, several guards ushering Robin out of the room. "Okay, I'm gonna figure this out... one way or another," Robin whispers to themself as they leave, only for Robin's shadow to grow a toothy grin as it separates from Robin Cyrus emerging from the shadow. "Oh, Robin ... you'll take me to the answer," Cyrus thinks to himself as his form melds into Robin's shadow again.
Robin enters Blake's Room only to see Blake on one knee. "BLAKE?!?" Robin yells in pure surprise, their face pure red, "What did I walk in on?" Robin asks. "I- um," Blake stutters over his words as he takes a deep breath. "Robin... we've been together a month, and I just wanted to give you a... gift," Blake says, opening the box in his hand. A choker necklace with a rough heart in the center emanates a strange glow from Robins's eye. As they stare down at the necklace, the light vanishes, only having lasted a few seconds. Blake hands over the box; Robin quickly puts on the necklace. Blake hugging Robin
"Blake?" Robin says as Blake holds them, kissing Robin's cheek. Blake lets go as a knock on the door breaks the couple's moment. Cyrus walks in. "The queen wants you two," Cyrus says, his voice full of malice. As everyone gathers into the throne room Ophelia sitting alone "would anyone like to tell me why is everyone looking into these silly legends" Ophelia says starring down at the small group gathered around her her expression full of hate "My queen-" Fae begin only to be interrupted by Ophelia raising a hand as a hush falls over the room the room quiet enough if a pin dropped it would sound like a gunshot "I'll ask again Robin why is your group interested in these legends" Ophelia asks looking directly at Robin who freezes up Blake grabbing their hand and giving a small smile Robin is about to speak when Atticus walks towards Ophelia "I brought up the idea" Atticus says Ophelia believing the lie "I've been looking into a strange disease that runs rampant throughout the depths most dying from the disease or hunger and in all the notes left by my mentor the gifts were mentioned as a final resort a prayer for salvation and I asked my friends to help" Atticus says lying through his teeth only wanting to save his friends from whatever consequences they might face "Disease?" Ophelia says bending down to meet Atticus at eye level "y- yes ma'am a plague it's been going through the different levels of the spire it's reaching the gates" Atticus says "it's gotten that's bad" Ophelia says in a hushed tone but immediately covering her mouth in this moment Fae looks up at Ophelia the love she had felt for Ophelia vanishing in a split second the love replaced with rage and hate Fae's eyes both being consumed by black her wings mutating red veins running through her wings "you knew a plague was happening and didn't care to tell FUCKING ANYONE" Fae yells as she is over come with rage the lights in the room flickering eventually shattering as Fae raises into the air "Ophelia you're a monster" Fae says her voice distorted hundreds of voices calling out at the same time "Fae..?" Atticus says terrified at Fae's appearance "Fae it was only in the depths those people would've died anyways" Ophelia tells Fae attempting to hold Fae's hand only to be pushed away "... Fae those people live in filth" Ophelia says looking down on the people of the depths "Ophelia they live in constant hell" Fae says in an attempt to reason with Ophelia "Well honey ... isn't Hell forever? We live within the heavens. We shouldn't let those people bother us," Ophelia says, looking at Atticus. "IF HELL IS FOREVER, THEN THIS HEAVEN IS A LIE!!" Atticus yells, his eyes welling with tears. Fae lands beside Atticus, grabbing his hands. "Ophelia, you call your domain Heaven, but it isn't. You use Heaven as a disguise. You force your workers to live in poverty just for you to live in relaxation," Fae yells at Ophelia Ophelia laughs straight in Atticus and Fae's faces only to realize a moment too late that blue flames stars within displaying Ophelia's laughing face at the torment her subjects were forced to live in Ophelia looking at herself her eyes wide "You just told the entire spire what type of person you truly are" Fae says only for each person's vision to go black Ophelia having transported them back to their rooms. Fae sits alone only to look in the mirror noticing a strange ribbon chocker necklace to form on her neck a small bottle hanging from the ribbon "what is that?" She asks herself
"I swear ... you all will pay, and I'll get my gifts." Ophelia says as she sits down in her throne her wings stretching outward
