A Madman With a Box

You change into a clean shirt and shorts. You needed to see what this box really was and why it's in your current dreams. You look in your mom's bedroom to see if she was still sleeping. All clear. You head out the front door.
The telephone box was just in the front of your lawn, just standing there. You knock to see if anyone is using it. The door just swings open.
Hold on, it's bigger now. How could this fit in a tiny telephone box? You start looking around. It didn't seem to have anyone inside.
"Uh, hello," an unfamiliar voice called out to you. You turn around as fast as a dart. "Oh, I'm sorry. Is this yours?" You ask. "Why yes it is, and may I ask who you are?"
"I'm (y/n). You're...thing...just appeared in front of my house so I wanted to take a look." The man's eyebrow raised with a careful grin following it.
"TARDIS," he replied. "This is my TARDIS."
You look at him from head to toe. He was funny looking, with a bit of charm.
"Oh, how foolish of me for not introducing myself. Hello, I'm the Doctor."
The...Doctor? Hold on. Doctor. Doctor, DOCTOR?! It all makes sense. Get better, from "your" Doctor. But, MY Doctor? Who is he? He's a tricky one. But where did he come from?
"Are you the certain 'Doctor' who helped me after my bike crash?" you ask him, with a very sincere look.
He just smiled and nodded. "That's me. I saw the whole thing happen. I'm sorry about that by the way."
"No, don't be sorry. I'm just dumb."
He laughs under his breath. "No one is dumb, we all have intelligence inside us."
You just look at the ground. "So, what do you DO anyways?" you ask.
"Well, (y/n), I like you and that means I can trust you. Can you keep a secret?"
"I don't really have anybody to tell."
"Alright then. I'm not of 'this kind'." You immediately know what that means.
"Wait, but you look just like...us. Humans. How can you not be of 'our kind'?"
He grinned and replied, "I'm a time lord. Well, one of the last ones. I survived when my planet was destroyed. I managed to get to Earth. Now a bunch of alien creatures are on Earth and in other sections of the universe. They start harming a planet, a person, or just start terrorizing anything, I come in. My TARDIS, or Time And Relative Dimension In Space, is a time machine and a space ship. It's how I get from place to place."
"Wow! A time machine! This is so cool!"
Then you stop a second.
"Why did you come here?"
"Someone was in trouble. They were scared. They needed help."
"Me?"
"You."
"But-but I'm fine. Sure I've had troubles, but not really bad ones."
"I've just come to loosen you up. Get you more involved in the world."
"Don't think I'm going to be going anywhere with you."
"Think again."

After a half our of talking, the Doctor finally asked, "Where do you want to go, (y/n)?"
"I should tell my mom."
"Don't worry, we'll be back before she wakes up. Where do you want to go?"
"I want to go somewhere in the universe. I want to get away from the world for a while."
"Sounds like a plan. Geronimo!"
