Deep in the forest of North Carolina, the sun was beginning to go down as the winter cold grows more intense by the minute. A Reindeer herd was seen migrating through the vast open plain, due to having limited resources the Dears have begun heading further down south for more food and water.

But a few dozen yard's away from the herd, a Hunter was seen laying flat on his stomach as he aims his hunting rifle at a large Buck that had strayed away from the herd to nip at some grass. The Hunter lived in a tone that was just a few hundred miles away from where his currently hunting, he usually takes this spot to hunt due to the migrating herd's and a lot of other creatures that pass through the valley.

The Hunter breath's heavily as he steadily aims at the buck and waist for it to go even further in the forest and farther away from the herd. Thankfully he had a silencer on his hunting rifle, he was the type of hunter that doesn't want to alert anything of his whereabouts and wants to keep it like that.

The Buck had just reached the spot where the Hunter had wanted it to go and his finger presses against the trigger softly before...

*Pew!*

One round was shot.

Hunter: "Damn it..." He hissed.

He was disappointed to see the Buck twitch before it bolted into the tree's beyond, in to the opposite direction of the rest of it's herd. He had hit it in the flank, but his aim was off about three inches.

But on the bright side the Buck had bolted on the opposite direction of the herd which was a good thing for the man since he wouldn't have to wait for probably a hour or two if it crossed the herd and would have to wait for the rest to walk pass, which would take a long time.

He sighed as he puts his rifle over his shoulder and head's off to follow his wounded prey.

He carefully walk through the terrains of the forest as the snow covered environment made it hard for him to spot anything that could trip him or could be a drop.

He soon spotted a blood trail on the ground and start's following it, even though he wanted to get out as fast as possible because night was about to begin, and he clearly doesn't want to be out here in these wood's alone.

About half way through his search, he found himself at a small clearing, but something had changed.

The surrounding area suddenly felt weirdly thick and dull. Like the feeling you had when there's someone or something watching you from the distance. And it didn't help when everything suddenly went eerily quiet.

All the woodland sound's had died out and he was overcome by a particular feeling of vulnerability, as if he was exposed.

But even with that he continued forward, but without a degree of trepidation.
