Your eyes, bright stars in darkest night,
A wagging tail, pure delight..
In dreams, I see you run and play,
Chasing shadows, night to day...
Small paws, travelled across,
Followed me, 'til exhaust..
Everyday is it??, we used to roam,
Now you've found a new, peaceful home...
Though you've crossed the rainbow bridge,
And stand upon a sunlit ridge..
In my heart, you'll always stay,
A cherished friend, not far away...
Your paw prints left upon my soul,
In memories, you'll make me whole..
Until we meet at journey's end,
Goodbye for now, my dearest friend...
Rest well, beneath the stars,
Though distant now, never far..
In heart and soul, you'll always be,
A timeless part of my memory...
