ECHO

Packing didn't take too long, I expected this hunt to be over in no more than two days. Well at least that's what Sam and Dean predicted when it came to taking out multiple demons while I dealt with one. I knew I was only going to be killing one of those sons of bitches but I was excited and a little nervous, because this would be my first solo hunt minus the winged babysitter I'd been assigned. Sam thought it was cute how pumped I was to get on the road, while Dean kept stating that if I failed to exorcise one demon then I wasn't going on another solo hunt for a very long time.

I strapped my trusty holy water soaked blades into my boots and added a gun in my bag just n case the situation changed. As a hunter the first thing you learn is that you can never go into a hunt unprepared and expecting one thing, because once the supernatural's know that then it becomes easier to trick you and that's what killed a lot of hunters. I was never a gun wielding hunter, I hated guns in general but Dean made sure I knew how to shoot, reload and clean multiple guns because he said it would save my life one day.

When I returned back to the main hub of the bunker I noticed that Sam, Dean and Castiel were hunches around the map once again. As I edged closer and dropped my bag next to Sam's I noticed four moving black spots on the map, I was pretty sure they weren't there before. Upon seeing my confusion Sam cleared his throat.

'This allows us to track their exact locations Echo, the activities look relatively normal. Well at least the demon you'll be going after, where as mine and Dean's three seem to be a little too eccentric.'

'What do you think Cas?'

The angel shrugged his shoulders at my question.

'Word from above is that the three demons are the bigger threat, even though I have a feeling that this is some sort of trap. Split up the Winchesters and then take at least one of you out.'

Dean scoffs and quickly glances over at you before smirking.

'Well we know they won't be going after Echo, she's our baby sister where as Sam and I have been to hell to heaven and back multiple times. It's probably a good thing Sam and I are going together, besides Cas we're entrusting our sisters safety in your hands.'

I wanted to wipe the smug smirk off my older brother's face. He could be a real douche when he wanted. He loved mentioning that I was the weaker Winchester who no one would want to hurt because I was useless. I wouldn't have been useless if they let me come on more hunts with them. I didn't want to be useless anymore.

You won't be useless much longer little Echo

The voice was back but what did it mean, how could I no longer be useless? I tried to keep my composure as Dean still had his eyes fixed on me, did he suspect something? Maybe I was becoming paranoid. I shot me a small smile which he returned before paying more attention to the four moving dots on the map.

I quite like these little chats Winchester

The male voice chuckled deeply and you wanted nothing more than to get him out of your head. Then again a part of you whispered that the voice sounded oddly familiar, you didn't know any demons that could get inside your head. The angels said it was something to do with the demon blood you swallowed when you were a baby, no demon could get inside your head and that included Lucifer who seemed both pissed and intrigued by you.

'We should head off soon if we want to get to the towns as soon as we can. If this is some sort of trap then let's cut these bastards off before they can make another move.'

'Wow Sam cute little pep talk.'

Sam bowed his head when Dean called his little talk cute, Dean knew how to get under Sam's skin and this was one of them. He leant over and ruffled Sam's hair and for once I was glad I didn't have to share a car with them. Castiel nudged me.
