Randheer told the whole story to Ansh.
"But you didn't want to get married?" Ansh asked.

"I know but now I want to!" Randheer replied.

"Why?" He asked.

"It's different, now."

"How's it different?"

"Because it's Mannat."

"If she's Mannat, so how's it different?"

"Why aren't you understanding? It's different because I love her. I love Mannat. I want to marry her, only her. Do you hear that? Now, stop this interrogation and give me a damn solution." Randheer yelled at him.

"Randheer, I told you earlier that you love her."

"But she told me that she loves someone."

"Hmm! But who knows this someone is you." Ansh explained and a small spread on Randheer's face.

"You are smiling, bro. She has really done something to you."

"Tell me. What should I do?"

"Tomorrow is a working day. Try to talk to her in the office." Ansh said and he said okay.

Then, Ansh left as he had to go somewhere. Randheer tried to sleep but his thoughts were occupied by Mannat.
"What have you done to me, Amber? I cannot sleep without seeing you. You even refused for the alliance. It's all because of me." He said and pouted like a child.

He kept tossing and turning on the bed. He then, unlocks his phone and open gallery. He clicks at Mannat's picture he had clicked in the party.

"I am sorry, Amber. Please forgive me. I was in anger at that time. I am not justifying but I just couldn't control myself at that time."

Then, he slept after some time.

The next day....

Randheer got ready to go to the office. He has made up his mind that he would talk to Mannat today.

Mannat has also got ready. She has decided to stay away from him. He has hurt her.

They both went to the office. Mannat sat on her desk. Shubham reached the office after 10 minutes of her arrival. A smile spread across his face looking at her.

He went to his cabin. Mannat took a deep breath and went to his cabin. She knocked on the door and he said "Come in!"
"Good morning, Sir." She greeted him and he reciprocated the gesture.
She started telling him about the schedule for the day. But his interest was not on the schedule. It was to focus on how to pacify the angry bird standing in front of him. He stood from his chair and went towards her. He took the tablet from her hand and she looked at him. She asked, "Yes, sir. You need something."

"Mannat, why are you behaving like this?"
"How am I behaving, SIR? I am just doing as you had ordered. About yesterday, I am extremely sorry for intruding into your personal space. That was not my intention, Sir."
"Drop this Sir?"
"Why Sir?" She asked and he was getting irritated with this SIR.
"You follow my orders, Right?" He asked and she nodded.
"Call me Randheer then."
"I am sorry, Sir. I can't do that. I am at my workplace and I can't call my senior by their name." She stated looking intently at him.

"Mannat, I am sorry about yesterday." He was saying but she cut him off saying, "It's okay, Sir. It was my mistake. I apologize for that. You don't need to justify your actions." Then, she left him there and abruptly left with her tablet.

She went to her desk and mailed him his schedule. Randheer was confused about what to do. She was not even ready to talk to him. She was not leaving this 'professionalism'.

He called her to his cabin. He was about to say something but she kept the coffee on his table and told him that a meeting was about to be start. She went out of his cabin saying this.

He was really frustrated, now. He called her after the meeting but she had left the office due to some urgent work. He took a deep breath and threw a vase on the ground. He was shouting a lot at his employees after she left. He was not liking her behaviour. The way she treated him today was irritating him. He didn't want her to be too distant from her.

Meanwhile, Mannat had gone home with an excuse. She didn't want to face him furthermore. It was getting worse for her to stay there. When she looked at him, his harsh words started ringing in her mind. So, she left with an excuse and came home. Tears again started rushing down her cheeks. She didn't even want to listen to him once. He had just taken her as a mere assistant but she had lost her heart to that person.

She was crying when Tridha entered into the room.
"Why are you crying, Noor? What happened?"
"Nothing." She said and wiped her tears harshly. Tridha hugged her and she again started crying.

"Tell me. What has happened?"
Tridha asked and she told her everything.
"He has really done wrong but Mannat don't you think that you are only tormenting yourself by pushing him away. He's trying to talk to you. So, once at least listen. I am not saying that he's correct but ignoring him is something which is incorrect."
"I need some time to recover. His words still pierce through my heart. I've always treated him as a friend but he only thought of me as an assistant. Whenever I look at him, it makes me remember about what he said to me." Mannat explained herself and Tridha nodded. She understood that her already vulnerable heart was broken.
A week passed like this. Shubham was trying to communicate with her but she ignored him every time. She also used to come home early due to her emotional turmoil. It was a tough time for both of them. Her ignorance for him and his words for her were like daggers in their heart.
