It's been 7 months since the 'temporarily closed' sign was put up on Jurassic World. The repairs are expected to take longer than a year and it will take almost 2 years to fully restock the animals.
It's also been 7 months since I have seen Owen.
He promised that when we leave, we would leave together, but that plan didn't carry through. When the ferries arrived to pick us up and get us off the island, we got lost in translation. I spent weeks in a $270 a week resort on Costa Rica just wasting away my pay check searching every hotel, resort, boat, etc. to find Owen.

but I never did

I knew he was in Costa Rica because every call I made didn't go through. 12 hotels, 5 resorts, 2 boats, and like 34 calls to his cell later and I'm done. I stopped looking. I don't know what scares me more, the thought that he wasn't looking for me or that he was looking for me. Both crossed my mind every time I dialed a number. I would just imagine him somewhere back at his home in the states, sometimes I thought of him with another girl.

But now I'm here in Brooklyn, New York, living off of cereal and tea from the coffee shop below my apartment. My loft was quite small but it fit me perfectly, and it fit my budget. I had a full time job at a natural history museum downtown. Obviously I specialized in taking care of and teaching the dinosaur exhibits. This job was such a downgrade compared to Jurassic World, it was like a temporary job but sometimes I feel like Jurassic World will never open again.
