Anika kept the phone aside and looked at Payal, while the little girl made faces. She smiles a bit seeing her expressions.

A: Finish it fast Payal

P:(melodrama) Ahh! Mami it tastes yuck

A: Come on baby, you drank the half glass right, the rest will get wasted, finish it fast

Payal again made a face and began drinking her left over milk. After finishing it with great difficulties, she kept the glass aside and looked at Anika with a pout,

P: Why didn't you come to meet me yesterday?

Anika smiled and placed her on her lap, she said kissing her chubby cheeks

A: Because, I had some work and we have pooja in our house right? So we were busy in the preparations

P: Why pooja?

A: For the well being of the family

Anika said but the real reason was the ladies of the family were worried for their children, it's so long that they had performed any ritual, the back to back attacks on their children and the depression made them decide that they should change the vibes of the house. Anika and Payal were busy talking to each other about how Payal's doll loves to get dressed up and what she likes to eat which is basically Payal's choice. Shivaay came and saw the scene in front of him, he leans on the door, hands in his pocket, he is happy that Payal is in safe hands but sometimes his heart aches when they fail in giving time to her, he misses Priyanka.
Payal has everything just like her, her eyes, her way to make other convince, her eating habits, it's all Priyanka. Yes, she did wrong to him, but he never did, he loved her just like his daughter. He was lost in his thoughts when he sensed something near his leg, he looked, Payal was standing with a pout. He smiled and picked her up in his arms walking towards the chair, sitting on it, Anika observed him and she got to know what the matter was.

P: What's wrong mama?

Shivaay smiled at her childish voice, her inappropriately pronounced words.

S: It's nothing babygirl, just thinking

P: What?

S: Why do you want to know?

P: Because you are sad and I don't like when you are sad

She said in her baby voice and hugged him. It absolutely didn't help Shivaay but made his emotions strike at peak. She parted and looked at him waiting for his answer, he roamed his hand in her hair and said

S: I was just thinking about your Mumma

P: So why sad, you know Mami says she is at peace

Shivaay looked at Anika who was also trying to hide her emotions. Payal lopped her small arms around his neck looking at him.

P: You love her?
Shivaay nodded

P: Then don't be sad, you say that I am her xerox copy, right?
He nodded again

P: Problem solved, I am here, always
She said happily and hugged him.

Payal!

A: Payal go Nani is calling you

P: Okay
She jumped from Shivaay lap and ran outside the room, Anika went behind her and locked the door. She came to Shivaay and sat on her knees keeping her arms on his lap.

A: It's okay, you can cry
The moment she said this he burst into tears. He cries holding her hand, she let him do it. She didn't stopped him, allowing him to hug her, he let the waterworks do the work.
