Ademide's Pov.

I was trapped, alone in a street that seemed to have no end. I was tired, looking deserted and of course hungry because I was bent on finding this so called address.

"You could have just avoided this whole thing if you had just listened to Ayomide and did not  go for any adventure "

I listened to my subconscious scold me

Immediately after Ayomide and I set out for this journey, halfway into the journey.

Would you believe that the coward I call a bestie insisted on going back without me because his damned instincts were telling him to!

Out of anger, I yelled at him and said some horrible things to him before we parted ways.

Now, I was left alone and hungry because I did not take extra snacks before setting out and, foolish me thought there would be shops were I can buy snacks on the way.

"You're so hopeless" My subconscious muttered.

I managed to drive the car myself since Ayomide is no longer there to drive. I was able to use the few basic driving skills my daddy had taught me.

I felt the movement of the car slow down and in no time, I heard the engine stop.

"Oh no! " I groaned in frustration.

I opened the car bonnet but could not do anything.

"Do not blame me! I don't know how to fix a car " I muttered to my subconscious as I felt her roll her eyes at me.

Luckily for me, I saw a taxi and immediately stopped it, I got inside and showed the address to the driver.

He had a quizzed look on his face and seemed quite shocked to find out I was really going to that address.

On seeing this, I got really curious and  wanted to ask him what was wrong but I shrugged it off.

"Ma'am, we've gotten to the street. Unfortunately, no cars are allowed into this street so this is as far as I go." The taxi driver brought me out of my thoughts.

"Oh thanks" I said to the driver as I alighted and began my long walk to find the address.

I kept on moving and moving and moving and still no trace of the address I was looking for.

As I walked, I could not help but notice that only few people walked on the road. Tired but determined,I kept walking only to get to the end of the street.

It was then I lost all hope of finding my supposed destination.

I cried at the fact they I had just wasted all my effort, time, energy and even fought with my best friend over this.

As I turned to go home, I saw a house which I was sure was not there before.

It is a storey building with it's whole surrounding lighted  with dim lighted bulb of an orange color.

The house looked spooky and held an aura of mystery all over it.

As I stood in awe looking at the house. I was truly mesmerized by its beauty.

Until...

Pat!

I felt a lone drop of water on my face and soon enough multiple began to drop all at once.

It then dawned on me that it was raining, so I ran into the house looking for shelter.

I tried knocking on the door, but slowly and creepily the door opened, revealing a brightly lighted space. Then, an unexpected wave of warmness crept over me and I began to feel sleepy.
