Agust D's POV

The sound of chopping onions rose abruptly from the familiar hum of the fridge.

The front door opened and a voice echoed, 'I'm home'.

I stopped and a smile pulled up on my cheeks as a pair of strong arms enveloped me in them from behind.

'How is my prince?' I asked. I felt him smile and heard him say, 'I'm fine'

I turned and kissed him.

'Let's go out,' he said, pulling away. 'Oh, alright,' I said, the light smile still on my lips.

'I'll call Jin Hyung, though' he said,  'For our scars' he went on, tracing his own. I nodded.

I nodded as Suga pulled out his phone to call Jin and Taehyung.

Suga ended his call and leaned against the counter, watching me with a soft gaze. "Jin Hyung and Taehyung will be here in half an hour," he said. "They're bringing our cats back, too'. I nodded, setting the knife aside and wiping my hands on a towel.

"Perfect," I replied. "We have just enough time to finish up here and get ready."

He walked over and took my hand, squeezing it gently. "Thank you for always being here," he said quietly. I looked up into his eyes, seeing the depth of his emotions reflected back at me.

"Always," I whispered, leaning in to kiss him again. "Why don't you go take a bath and relax for a bit?"

Suga nodded, giving me one last squeeze before heading to the bathroom. I continued preparing the meal, and the sound of running water soon filled the apartment. The steam and scent of his favourite bath salts wafted through the hallway, adding a layer of tranquilly to our home.

As the bathwater splashed and Suga settled in, I finished up in the kitchen and tidied up the living room. Just as I was putting away the last of the dishes, the doorbell rang. I hurried to answer it, greeting Jin and Taehyung with a warm smile.

"Come in, come in," I said, stepping aside to let them in.

Jin, with his impeccable skills as a makeup artist, set up his kit on the kitchen table. Taehyung, with his model-like presence, greeted me warmly, his eyes full of understanding.  He set the carrier down, and Little D and Sugar immediately bounded out, exploring the familiar space.

"Is Suga Hyung ready?" Taehyung asked, glancing towards the bathroom.

"He's just finishing up," I replied. "He'll be out in a minute."

As if on cue, Suga emerged from the bathroom, a cloud of steam trailing behind him. He looked refreshed, a soft smile playing on his lips as he greeted Jin and Taehyung.

"Let's get started," Jin said, his voice calm and professional. He moved with practiced precision, applying makeup to conceal our scars. It was more than just a cosmetic touch-up; it was an act of care and solidarity. Taehyung offered words of encouragement, his presence a soothing balm.

As Jin worked, I felt the weight of our shared experiences lift slightly. The scars were a part of us, but they didn't define us. Tonight, we could step out and enjoy ourselves, knowing that we had each other's backs.

Once Jin finished, we looked at each other in the mirror. The transformation was subtle but significant. The physical reminders of our struggles were masked, allowing us to face the world with renewed confidence.

"Thank you, Jin Hyung," I said, gratitude evident in my voice.

"Anytime," he replied with a smile. "Now, go and have fun."
