"Rumour has it you and Dohoon-hyung spent time together over the weekend, was it a date?" Kyungmin asked as soon as he sat next to Shinyu in math class. The older boy turned bright red, he slowly turned over to his friend, then looked around the class. He eventually laid eyes on Dohoon, his blush just became even darker.

Kyungmin didn't stop bugging him, he kept on persisting to have an answer for his question. It did take a lot of nagging for an answer, but he was definitely not satisfied by what he heard.

"Rumours about me spread on the daily, people are just so desperate for me to have some romance in my life" He replied after a couple of seconds. Kyungmin furrowed his brows, and wore a slight pout on his face. Shinyu couldn't help but make fun of him (in a friendly way), and how stupid he looked — in his eyes at least. But that was how being best friends was with them.

For the rest of the class, because of that interaction at the start of the class, Kyungmin refused to talk to him. Shinyu didn't really mind, as it meant that he could steal some quick glances at the handsome boy.

"Rumours will spread faster if you stare at him like he's the bloody Mona Lisa" Kyungmin finally spoke to him at the end of the class. The older boy turned bright red, he tried to ignore him though. He knew the endless mockery that would come of admiring how unnatural things were between them.

The two went outside, to the courtyard, they were under the part covered by the roof (a/n: there's no literally translation for the word préau, so I tried to describe it to my best) due to some heavy snow. Students weren't allowed out of the roof because of fears that a snowball fight could happen. Or some dangerous things.

The two boys were quickly joined by Youngjae, who was running behind them, as if he was forgotten. Obviously, that wasn't the case, it was just them messing with him. They waited for Jihoon to join them but he never seemed to come.

When scanning the crowded area, they noticed Jihoon with a taller boy, after shuffling around they also noticed a third boy. Shinyu scoffed when seeing that, it was the fact that his friend was with other people. But it was about the point he brought up earlier.

Shinyu was one of the most popular boys at their school, maybe even the most popular. Even in the girl's section, he was known very well, where they'd only barely pass each other in the entrance hall. Not only handsome, but he was also a very nice and kind person. He was fun to be around, his popularity was a no brainer.

He wasn't the only popular one though, obviously, out of his friends — maybe his whole school, he was the most popular. His friends were quite popular as well, Youngjae was a bit more discreet than the others, and since Kyungmin spent most of his time with him, he was also a little less popular. Jihoon was extremely popular though, effortlessly as well. His natural charisma just captivated everyone. Plus, he was also very talented, he could mesmerise everyone with his dance moves.

The girls that hadn't fallen for Shinyu would've definitely fallen for Jihoon. Dohoon was also captivating some girls — and a specific unnamed boy's — attention.

"Why does he not get gay rumours" Shinyu asked, feeling a bit envious of him since he didn't have to worry about being outed every single day.

Kyungmin shrugged and turned to Youngjae. Once again, Shinyu scoffed, those two were also very clingy with each other, something that could easily start some rumours. Yet no one seemed to say a single thing. It was like people only cared about him, like he was the only one who could possibly have a love life.
