12 years later Jordan is 17 and he got stronger than he was before, but he was still under Ashura's training, he remembered during his past school years he made friends. When he entered school, he was walking to his locker getting his things then he walks with his friend Casper Maywood going to the classroom, they met each other since grade 6. He is the one with brown skin, blue bell eyes, and a white t-shirt. He saw Jordan walking so fast, he tried to catch up then Caper asked him "Why are you in a hurry class hasn't even started yet."

Jordan answered, "I know I just couldn't wait to see Lynn; I haven't seen her for 12 years."

Casper got curious when he sees Jordan's eagerness, then he said in a silly sing song voice. "Looks like someone's eager to see his crush" Jordan blushed, and he replied right back "What!? No! No... It's not like that" Casper casually closed his eyes, and he walks faster saying "I'm messing with you buddy, relax. Is she your crush though?"

Then Jordan replied to Casper about his friend Lynn. "She was my best friend. We met in the forest when we were younger."

"Ah I see. So that's why you're so eager earlier." His friend awed

"She's going to be in this school, sure we might not meet upon first arrival, but eventually we will. And when we do, I will introduce her to you."

As they entered the classroom, they met Terran who was sitting in a chair on row 3 seat 15, on row 6 seat 33, they met Jenny. They never talk to each other for a reason, when she waves at Terran, he just furiously ignores her, Casper shrugs in front of Jordan and immediately, they both sat on their own seats. And the girl sitting next to Casper is Sidney Crystal, she was shy but was always kind to her friends and family. "Hey Casper" she greeted him, then Casper greeted back "Sup" later he realized that he greets Sid and then collapsed on the floor, Jordan whispered to him "Who has a crush now?" Casper blushed and he told him to shut up. Class has started and their teacher Mrs. Spark introduces a new classmate who was Jordan's friend Lynn. He knows that he would meet her in school but not in his classroom after her introduction Mrs. Spark discusses lessons about literature. Hours later class dismisses at 5:00 and all the students get to go to their homes, while Jordan introduces Lynn to his friends.

"So, you going to tell us who this girl is right beside you?" Terran rudely ask.

"Guys, I'd like you to meet Lynn." Jordan introduced. "Lynn these are my friends in school, this is Casper, Terran, and-"

"Sid?"

"Yeah, and Si- wait you know Sid?" Jordan was surprised to find out that Lynn knows one of his classmates and friends, that being Sid.

"Is that you?"

"Oh Gosh!" Sid squealed "Lynn?"

"I am so stoked to meet you!" Sid and Lynn are so happy to meet each other they hug it out of joy after a few months of being apart, while the boys are in shock knowing that Sid has a best friend before she met them. When Lynn saw their priceless faces, Lynn forgot to tell them a little something.

"I must have forgotten to tell you about my bestie." Sid said awkwardly "Lynn and I were friends since kindergarten."

"Well, that makes sense." Terran scoffed sarcastically. "Given that you are more energetic than usual, honestly surprised to see a little shy kid get all joyful all the sudden."

Mad at Terran, Casper elbowed his arm on his arm, and then pulls his ear, which then later on get himself pulled by the collar of his t-shirt by his buddy. "You want another Thinking Cap."

"No," Casper said confidently at first, but by the moment Terran grind his teeth, he is unsure "Maybe. You know what I had it." Casper pushed Terran. "I'm tired of you threatening me."

"Then don't threaten me first simp."

"I may be a simp, but at least I'm no jerk face."

As noticed Casper and Terran would argue a bit when somethings go wrong, after that, their small talk would become a big fight. This gave little discomfort between Sid, while Lynn went in to try and stop the fight "Hey! Break it up you two!" while Jordan sighed, being tired of this. So, he stopped it immediately by pushing them both away from each other. Of course, it ended but both Casper and Terran still have beef with each other.

As they walk outside, then they spend time together hanging out, talking to each other while walking on their way home, Sid and Lynn hugged each other before they left. She gets to see her cousin Alina who was half human. Next Casper and Terran wave their goodbyes to them and went on their way to their homes as well, leaving Jordan and Lynn last in the group. Lynn and Jordan started talking to each other in the forest and sat on a tree branch, they talked about the things in their past while they both didn't see each other.

"So how are things." Jordan asked nicely.

"It was good." Lynn replied, "Nervous at first being in Grade 10, but it took time to handle things the way I want them to. I am so hyped for the future, heck I can't even wait to go to college."

"Thinking about the future already?" Jordan was stunned hearing this.

"Uh huh. I've been spending all my time working myself up for my dream school in New York City, starting simple first in Southside School, then start pursuing my studies in Greenhill's Academy and finally graduate and get into Highlands Horizon and get my degree. I won't let any distractions of today get in my way, not even my past. If I were to be successful, I must give what I have and start gaining what I need."

"Woah, how goal oriented of you." Jordan awed uncomfortably "But why not focus on the present? I mean I like that you are ambitious and all, but I hope you don't mean you would give up the people who really matter to you. Like family, your brother or... even your dad." It was at this moment that Jordan knew he screwed up, Lynn was frozen with concern when her childhood friend had brought up her dad in this conversation, she's not mad, but she didn't like it when someone mentions the one person who had been a little neglectful towards her.

"That's not important. Alright, and please don't bring my dad into this. I uh, still haven't fixed my relationship with that guy."

Jordan later would feel a little tingle in his energy about Shadow Mist, a warrior with a powerful dark matter and strong armor from one of Ashura's stories. Lynn is getting concerned for the boy and she interrupts the moment of inner conflict. "You, okay?" Jordan snapped back, thanks to her.

"Oh." He yelped "I'm sorry, I blacked out for a moment there. A little thought going on in my head that's all."

From that moment, Jordan knew he has a secret to keep like Ashura warn him not to tell anyone of, but he decides to tell Lynn about it without being aware of the consequence Lynn listens to every word he said until she remembers. "That's the same man I saw after we met, Jordan" Jordan was shocked when he learned about this when Lynn continues to speak "After he disappeared, I saw something I wasn't supposed-" Lynn couldn't say what happened then she turned away from Jordan, and she cried. He wiped out her tears and he said "I'm sorry that you lost someone" Lynn said "it's not that" Jordan said "I do understand and it's not okay Lynn" he kept what he knew to himself, she told him that her mother died when she was 4 years old. Lynn felt calm after Jordan comforted her, then she said. "My brother Fredrick once said that even if their loved ones are gone to a better place, they'll always be with us no matter what." Jordan was happy at first but deep inside him he was worried that if he lost his father, he could lose others too especially Lynn. She knows how he feels, and she hugged him saying "I'm sorry about your father."

"It's okay." Jordan said calmly "I may have lost my dad, but you still have yours." Then came his British accent "So why don't you go back and patch things up with your old man eh?"

Because of this accent, Lynn giggled. "Don't talk like that." She said, as she punched his shoulder. "You have a terrible accent."

"At least I have one." Jordan goofed around."

Lynn was glad to know Jordan is still the same guy she once knew as a kid, and knowing he would one day change somewhat saddens her inside. "Uh hey...thanks I really need that."
