The Life of Carson Whitmore

Chapter 1

Friday, October 5th: 2018

Carson

      My morning starts off like any other day. (Buzz) I reached over to hit the button on the alarm clock and rolled over onto my back to look at the ceiling. (Ugh) I have to get up to get ready for school, that place is my living hell. Thank goodness today is Friday. (grunt) I rolled over to sit up on the side of my bed. I looked down at the bruise that I still have on my knee from yesterday. I walked over to my bathroom reaching over into the bathtub to turn the water on. I waited for the water to get warm. I brushed out my long brown hair. I took off my nightshirt and underwear and threw them into the dirty clothes basket then stepped into the shower. The water felt good as it ran down my body to wash off yesterday's stressful day away.

As Carson felt her body relax she remembered that tomorrow is Austin's 18th birthday. She has to go to his birthday party tomorrow night. I didn't really want to but I'm part of the Full Moon Wolf Pack and he is soon-to-be alpha. 'Yay for me!' I thought as I rolled my eyes. I finished up my shower and turned the water off. I reached up to pull the towel from over the door and wrapped the towel around my body as I stepped out of the shower. I grabbed a small towel from the shelf to wrap it around my hair. I stood in front of the sink looking at the bruises on my body that I still had from this week's bullying. I brushed my teeth and took one last look in the mirror before walking into my bedroom grabbing my clothes off of the chair. I dried off and put on my clothes then sat down at my vanity and took the small towel to dry my hair, so I could blow dry and brush out my hair. I put on some light make-up and took in my reflection. I got up and walked over and quickly grabbed my bookbag from the floor. On my way to the front door, I grabbed a granola bar and a bottle of water from the kitchen island. Carson got into the car that once belonged to her parents before they died. A red 2014 dodge charger.

I started the engine of my car and looked in the rear-view mirror at my make-up. I started backing out of the driveway, as I shoved a piece of granola bar into my mouth. I drove 3 blocks to my best friend Juli's house, to pick her up. Well, she is my only friend that I have. I pulled up to Juli's driveway and Juli opened the car door and got in. "Good morning!" I said as I took a drink of my water.

"Good morning. Hey, did you bring the CD I asked you to?" Juli said as she was putting on her seat-belt. "Yes, of course." I said as I turned up the music. "♪Remember the words you told me?♪ Oh Yes!" Juli said as she started to sing to the lyrics. "♪Love me 'Til the day I die. Surrender my everything cause you made me believe you're mine.♪" On our way to school, we were singing to music from the CD. We drove the 10 miles to school. I pulled into the parking lot and parked in my usual parking spot at school since school had started. Juli and I got out of the car as we were walking across the parking lot and it was like everyone's eyes were on me as they started whispering. "I'm the talk of the school." I said in a whisper. "Just ignore them, they don't know what they're talking about." Juli said as we walked into the school building.

The bullying, rumors about her, and name-calling all started 2 years ago soon after her parents death. "They don't know me." I said in a low whisper growl of anger in my voice. Juli and I walked down the hallway to our lockers. Thankfully they are next to each other. I opened my locker and kneeled down to the floor and reached up to grab out a book from my locker and someone slammed the locker door onto my hand. (I hissed as my wolf growled). I stood up and looked over to see the person who did it. 'Oh great.' Austin Abrams was standing next to me. I rolled my eyes. "What do you want? Austin." I asked, annoyed. He had a smirk on his face.

"Nothing, I just wanted to slam your locker." He said, then he started to laugh hard as he walked off toward Hannah Johnson. The school's biggest slut, she has had sex with almost every boy at the school and even with some of the teachers. I stared at him, gritting my teeth and with anger in my eyes. If looks could kill, he would be a dead werewolf by now. I thought. They started to make out in front of everyone. (gag) I think I'm going to puke. I turned my head to look at my hand, it had already started to heal a little, it was red and my wolf was whimpering.

"Are you alright? Carson." I heard Juli ask, She sounded worried. "Yeah, I'm fine, it just stings." I said as I looked at her with a smile to assure her that I was okay. I get the rest of my books from out of my locker. I glanced at my hand knowing there is going to be a bruise on it for a while.

"Alright then." she said but in her voice, she still sounded like she was concerned. Juli and I closed our lockers and started walking to our first-period class when someone tripped me. I fell to the floor. I caught my head with my bookbag so that I wouldn't smash my face into the floor. I looked up to see that it was my twin brother Carter and his friends standing over me.

"Shouldn't you be watching where you are walking? sis." He said as his friends started to laugh. I just looked away and ignored them. I wanted to cry but I wasn't going to give them the satisfaction. I got up from the floor and continued to my first-period class.

Juli and I took 1st and 5th-period classes together. Carter, Austin, and I have 2nd, 3rd, lunch, and 5th-period classes together.

The bell rang to end 3rd-period and I jumped up from my seat. 'Great lunch time I'm starving!' I thought to myself. I walked fast out of the classroom. I walked fast to the cafeteria to grab my lunch. I went outside to the old wolf tree. Where I hid myself from everyone so I could eat my lunch without worrying if people were going to trip me or would dump their lunch on me. Eating my lunch I thought there were only two incidents today, the rest were just name calling. I finished up eating my lunch. I walked back into the school as I was walking down the hall to the cafeteria. I heard a noise that sounded like moaning as I got closer to the cafeteria. The moaning started getting louder. One of the classroom doors was half open and I could see inside. Then I heard Hannah's voice say.

"Faster Austin Faster." I gagged (Yuck) I felt disgusted. "I feel sick." my wolf said. I ran the rest of the way down the hall to the cafeteria and put my tray away. I ran back outside hoping that I didn't run into anyone. I hid behind the old wolf tree again. I sit down trying not to vomit up my lunch. I decided to start my English homework from 2nd-period trying to get my mind off of what I had just seen. I was almost finished when the bell rang for me to go to my 5th-period class. I walked back inside the school still having the feeling of wanting to throw up when I saw Austin and Hannah walking down the hallway in front of me. Austin's hair was all messy, and he had his arm around Hannah. 'Eww! They're still going to stay at school after doing that?' I kept walking to my class and was trying to get that disgusting scene out of my head. The only good thing about the 5th period was Juli. We were sitting in class when Austin started to throw paper at me. I was getting annoyed. I couldn't focus on my class work so Juli and I started talking. I told Juli what I heard and saw during lunch and we talked about what movie we would watch that night for movie night at my house. We decided the movies would be Dear John, Step up and The Vow. 'Oh, How I love Channing Tatum.' The bell rang Juli and I quickly left the classroom. We got to my car and left the school. As we headed to my house we had to stop by the convenience store to get snacks and drinks for movie night. Once at my house Juli and I started our homework that was due on Monday. It only took us an hour to finish. Around 6pm we started our first movie Dear John. I fell asleep in the middle of The Vow.
