The first rays of morning seeped through the dusty apertures, putting a pale glow on the abandoned room. Sunghoon moved slowly, his body rebelling with every agony and pain imaginable.

As he opened his eyes, the world swam in and out of focus. His head throbbed relentlessly, a dull ache that pulsed every second.

When he tried to sit up, his muscles screamed in protest, and he collapsed back onto the hard, cold floor with a pained grunt. The impact sent another wave of agony through him, intensifying the pounding in his skull.

Groaning, Sunghoon laid there for a moment, trying to catch his breath. He felt utterly drained, as though every ounce of energy had been sucked from his body along with his blood. His limbs felt heavy and unresponsive, weighed down by exhaustion and the sore effects of his ordeal, blood loss.

Memories of the night before flooded his mind — the eerie encounter with the young man, the shocking revelation that vampires were not just myths, but real creatures.

And the biting pain on his neck...

Slowly, he reached up to touch the left side of his throat, fingers trembling as they traced the tender, swollen wound.

The touch elicited a sharp intake of breath. The bite mark was raw and inflamed, surrounded by dried blood that clung to his skin like a bitch in heat.

It throbbed continuously, radiating through his entire body.

With every movement, Sunghoon felt lightheaded, his vision swimming as if the world around him was spinning.

His thoughts were clouded, a fog of exhaustion and pain enveloping his mind. It took immense effort just to remain upright, his muscles trembling with the strain.

Cold sweat broke out on his forehead, his body struggling to regulate its temperature after losing so much blood. He shivered uncontrollably, despite the room's stagnant warmth. Every breath was difficult, his chest tight with a sense of panic.

Desperation clawed at him. He needed water, sustenance, something to replenish what had been taken from him.

But the thought of moving, of exerting even the slightest effort, seemed daunting beyond measure. He was trapped in pain and weakness, unsure if he would ever regain his strength.

Yet, amidst the agony, a tinge of determination burned within Sunghoon. He couldn't stay here for long.

He had to find a way out, to escape this forsaken place and return to the safety of his family.
