Hours later, the evening came and the sun dipped below the horizon, Sunoo ventured out of the abandoned house.

The forest was quiet, the usual sounds of birds and animals muted as if in anticipation of nightfall. He moved cautiously, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger.

The last thing he needed was to run into another human or, worse, a predator.

Sunoo reached the edge of the forest, where wild berries grew in abundance. He had seen humans eating these berries before, plucking them from the bushes near pathways and open areas.

He hoped they would be enough to sustain Sunghoon, at least temporarily. After all, he still needed Sunghoon alive as a source of blood, a fact he didn't plan on sharing with him.

Sunoo's intentions might have seemed selfish, but survival was his priority. Trusting a human, even one who appeared as fascinating as Sunghoon, was a risk. He wasn't about to starve to death when he had a potential solution right in front of him.

Once he had gathered a decent amount of berries he put inside his ripped shirt, Sunoo teleported back to the house. The sudden warp of air startled Sunghoon, who was still weak and recovering on the dusty floor.

"Hey, Sunghoon." Sunoo called out, holding up his makeshift shirt filled with berries.

Sunghoon, now slightly more alert, blinked at him.

"What's that?" He questioned, looking up and diwn at the now shirtless Sunoo with his shirt in his hand with something inside.

"Berries," Sunoo replied, opening the cloth to reveal the heap of wild fruits. "Humans eat these, right?"

Without waiting for a proper answer, Sunghoon grabbed a handful and shoved them into his mouth.

"Thank you," he mumbled between bites, his voice full of genuine gratitude. "I was starving."

Sunoo watched in fascination as the human devoured the berries, juice smearing across his face. It was a messy, almost primal display of hunger, and yet it intrigued him.

Sunghoon's features, the way he ate, the sheer desperation—it all painted a picture of someone who was far removed from the cruel humans Sunoo had known.

As the heap of berries dwindled, Sunoo found himself studying Sunghoon more closely.

His skin was pale, almost like a vampire's, and his eyes held a certain intensity. His face was striking, with features that seemed almost too perfect to be human. It made Sunoo wonder, could Sunghoon be part vampire?
