Chapter 3 Staying Put

Mount Justice

September 23rd

It was the next day as members of the Justice League were repairing all the damage that was destroyed during the attack. Also they were upgrading the security system in the Cave as well.

At the mission room, the Team was there minus Red X since he was in the medical room resting, Batman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Shazam. Green Arrow puts down a bowl of pretzels on that table.

Kid Flash: Thanks, but no thanks.

Robin: What we want are answer, about Red Tornado and his siblings.

They started to become impatient with the situation and still had no answers at all.

Kid Flash: Exactly.

Green Arrow takes away the bowl but Kid Flash grabs it before he takes it away.

Kid Flash: Leave the bowl.

He then started eating the pretzels.

Miss Martian: How's Paul doing?

Black Canary: Paul's covering well, some bruises he's got and also a broken wrist and a twisted ankle. So he'll be resting.

Between the three young heros that were dealing with the android invasion, Red X had the most injuries due to him facing them head on. The members that were held hostage, along with Artemis and Robin wanted to thank him properly for the plan to defeat the androids. Superboy sees Aqualad talking to Batman and they were far away from them, he had super hearing which meant that he can hear their conversation from a long distance.

Aqualad: It was during the Taipei mission with Red Arrow, Sportsmaster revealed the possibility of a Mole within the Team. In light of last night's attack, Red Tornado would appear to be the traitor. But whether he betrayed us willingly or was pre-programmed is still-

Superboy: You knew!!

He charges at him with anger at what he just heard and grips his outfit, this causes the others to draw their attention to what was going on.

Superboy: That android and his maniac family, nearly killed M'gann!!

Miss Martian flew to them with a worried expression.

Miss Martian: Conner, what are you doing?

Superboy: Kaldur knew we had a traitor among us and said nothing!!

The other young heros heard this and got up from their seats and walked to them and looked at Aqualad, surprised that he kept this from all of them.

Robin: You knew?!

Kid Flash: And you didn't tell us!!

Aqualad: I sought to protect the Team–

Artemis: Protect us from what!?! Knowledge that could've saved our lives!!

They couldn't believe it, that someone that trust and their leader of all people kept this from them. Especially Robin and Kid flash were hurt by this since it was the three of them that started this Team since the Justice League was keeping secrets from them. Superboy then looks back at Miss Martian.

Superboy: You almost died.

As Superboy was about to say something else to Aqualad but was cut off by the Dark Knight.

Batman: Enough.

They all turn and Batman narrows his eyes toward Superboy to let Aqualad go, which he does.
